We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

As I said, "In general, it's considered better to start a new thread and - if necessary - link to or refer to the old one."

Once a thread has been necro'd, it's really up to the participants (and/or moderators) to decide whether to continue or move to a new thread. Sometimes moderators will move the new posts to a new thread with a suitable title. I don't know if there is any set policy here.

That's because we respond to the post, not the person.

The OP made the same point that Satan did in misconstruing God's words. God told Adam he would surely die if he ate the fruit. At that point death was introduced into the world. Adam lived a long time. Able did not. Animals became carnivorous. The life cycle changed from a perpetual Eden to survival of the most fit. The wages of sin are death, and death came into the world the day Adam ate the fruit.

15 years later, many still don't get this.

How many times has this been explained? Create a new thread with a link to the old thread, fully disclosing it is a link to an old thread.

Shouldn't that be a Zombie Wizard? And it should deal at least one damage when tapped.

Adam and Eve did die for their disobedience.

You might say this is where the first dogma came from. No questions allowed!

That is a hard sell from an OT perspective. The OT shows very little concern about life after death. The idea hardly appears at all.

For those who think Moses authored (not edited) the book of Genesis, the book of Job is considered the oldest book in the Bible.

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Where did he get that information?

Where did the author of Ecclesiastes get his information?

Ecclesiastes 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all isvanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? 22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Like some of the Psalms, the Book of Job came from Egypt and they sourced the teachings of the Salem missionaries of Melchizedek. Job is parabolic, it's a worldly wise reaction to the belief in providence.

My point is that the plan of salvation begins in Genesis.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity [Jesus Christ] between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Assuming Uz is Egypt, what does that matter?
You do know that Melchizedek was Jesus Christ, do you not?

The Hebrews apropriated things from other cultures and made them their own.

No, actually Macaventia Melchizedek was an incarnate Son of God under the authority of Christ Michael. Appearing as a full grown man he established a monotheistic evangelist center in Salem from which missionaries went out to the world. He was on the earth for 90 years on an emergency basis. He is of an order of emergency sons. It was Melchizedek who established the covenant with Abram.

Your boys from Chicago wrote that, did they?

Evidently Jerusalem didn't get the message.

    And I'm glad.

Incidentally, where did Marshall Applewhite go wrong?

I am not sure whether AV or Colter is more creative iwhen it comes to making up things not found in the Bible, but Colter probably wins.
