However, that does not mean that Murder, Rape, Kidnapping are no longer sins.

I know what argument comes next. "Christians are not under law, but under grace." I got the E-mail. I read the note. I get it!!!

Here is my answer to the argument.

1. Heathen are not filled with the Holy Spirit of GOD. They are of their father the devil, and the works of their father they will do (see John 8).

2. Even Christians can sin. Hello.

3. So, since there would be some heathen in the New C.S.A., and since even Christians can sin; there would have to be a government and laws in this New Nation. Since I would be the one launching this New Nation, I would put these laws into effect. CAPITAL PUNISHMENT would be the penalty for said crimes: murder/abortion, rape, kidnapping, drug trafficking, homosexuality, treason, and gang activity (Bloods, Crips, Hells Angels, Banditos, Mafia, Tongs, Triads...ect.).

Hence, the New C.S.A. would be an awesome place to start and have a family!!!!!!!

So... Where we differ is in what you are calling a crime that is worthy of capitol punishment. And maybe how one would be convicted of the said crime. (would the person still be considered innocent until proved guilty?)

As to where I stand on the issue of capitol punishment it is as follows.

Capitol punishment is warranted in only a few instances all of those instances involve the willful infringement of another persons rights.

Treason, Murder, Rape. Beyond those I do not think the death penalty is justified.

HOWEVER: I do have one point I would like to make very clear. If a person lies or wrongly accuses someone of something that would put the defendant to death then that person would be charged with murder themselves. So if you lie or just think that someone committed treason you had better be 100% sure or you will face the gallows yourself. Further more it should take 2 or more eye witnesses both saying the same thing and risking themselves of a murder charge to convict someone to a death sentence.
(Just how sure are you that Joe was the one who did the shooting? Because if you are wrong then an entire courtroom just saw you try and kill Joe!)

We have had WAY too many innocent people convicted of crimes they did not commit and sentenced to death. Just one innocent person being put to death is enough in my mind to say that it is wrong and should be stopped forever.

The greatest thing God gave us was life and it should be honored above all other things.

uhmm well it was a nice Church. I've been in a lot worse (and a couple of nicer ones) It was a very large Church I'll give them that. When I attended I was part of a couple of the Christian communes they had in the 70's. Come to think of it I'm still part of a Christian commune.

I have not seen much from Mr. Poe that would lead me to believe that he is the spawn of Satan. He does not agree with you on certain areas of your belief but I have never heard him deny Christ. Have you heard him deny Christ and state that he did not believe?
