Those look so cool! That's a good hobby to have. :) I tried making jewelry before and it was a lot of fun!

It is so fun! I mean most of it is. I do complain a bit if there's little beads involved, haha. But overall it's really fun, and can actually be relaxing and get your mind on things because you're so focused about what you want for whatever piece of jewelry you're making and the colors and style you want. :)

I don't do these kinds of arts and crafts myself, but a couple months ago I paid a guy a few dollars to make me one of these:

Each colored bead represents a different aspect for the Christian faith. I think they make good conversation starters.

It's really nice! I'd love to know what each color represents. You can PM me if you like, whatever works. :)

black = sin/separation from God
red = the blood of Christ to forgive us and bring us back to God
white = purity or cleansing of Jesus
blue = identification of our baptism with Christ
green = our Christian growth
yellow/gold = our home in Heaven

pretty nifty, huh?

I can mail you mine if you're interested. If not, I understand if you don't want to let other CFers know your address. And anthrax. Be very careful of that too. :thumbsup:

Thanks! I took a styrofoam sheet and cut / outlined the pixels based on the actual sword in game, then colored in the pixels with special markers. The cube was just a styrofoam cube lol. And the manger scene sets were made from painted basswood, glued together with gorilla glue. =)

Yes do share!

Here are a few more models I made a while back, taken from my portfolio and all made with basswood. I made the church for my dad as a birthday present; it included a switch and improvised wiring to get a light inside the model to work, and acrylic paint on the exterior. The large manger was made for my brother and sister-in-law; the wood was stained by hand and it eventually supported an actual set of manger figures. The abstract model on the bottom-right was made for one of my classes and was designed to personify "elegance" (also stained, and held together with wiring).

The manger scene was designed in SketchUp beforehand lol:

In saw some bird houses shaped like churches. Those would be cool i think.

Earlier this year I bought a 3-D printed figure from another site and painted it:

Here's a paint-by-number kit I did back in 2010, that I still have in my room. I like it a lot because it has two of my favorite Pokemon on it and the background contains my top two favorite colors (lavender and pink)! :D

And here's a clay model I made a couple years ago of a Hero Chao.

I may as well give an update on what I have planned here. ;)

I'm going to start making a fabric Advent calendar pretty soon, I'll post a photo when it's done! I've never made one before so I hope it turns out right. :p

That's the only real plan I have for Christmas right now, but we'll see. Maybe I'll decide to sew some stuffed animals for Christmas too. It's been almost two months since I've sewn anything, so I'm ready to get my trusty sewing machine out and get back to work now! ^_^

make sure the gems you glue gun onto it have flat backs so they can be glued on and stay on the foam
