Is that why so many Christians in the US are in prison? before you deny it check on it.

During 10 years in Sing-Sing, those executed for murder were 65% Catholics,
26% Protestants, 6% Hebrew, 2% Pagan, and less than 1/3 of 1% non-religious.
How many were named Steve?

When citing statistics please provide yours source.

In a country where the highest percentage of the population is Christian you would expect that those in prison might reflect that. Also, only 2.8% or something like that are homicide criminals.

BOP: Quick Facts

This is again something that doesn't belong in this forum.

I agree. There would be much more love of sin and toleration of sin.

If everyone became atheists, do you believe there would be no school shootings, muggings, burglary, bank robberies, fights, etc? Love would conquer all and everyone would come together?
Statistics imply that there would be less.

In Europe the higher the percentage of atheism the better the country does as a whole. With atheism there is no "the devil made me do it" or other handy excuses. Nor can you cop out of a debt and expect God to pay it for you.

In atheism you cannot run away from your sins like you can in Christianity.

IF you don't want to back up your claims then we can dismiss them as your fantasy and nothing more. Fine with me.

Then don't have a cow when you learn the ten nation confederacy is going to come from the European Union.

What are you talking about, I state that i am a christian in my profile. Is this another case of playing the man and not the ball.
Also why is it necessary to call me a liar. I find that since i have been on hear i have noticed that some of the people supporting evolution against creation have called believers all sorts of names. Liars, ignorant, believe in fairy tales, need to have their heads examined and other derogatory names. This is a debate forum not a slanging match. Please refrain from calling me names like that. I give you the courtesy at least do the same. We are only debating and its not the most important thing in the world so it doesn't need to stoop to such a low level of disrespect.

In one of your first posts here you clearly declared that you have "no religion". Do you wish me to embarrass you by going and finding it..?

That was clearly a lie, as there has been a non-stop blather of Christian woo from you ever since..........so, why the need to lie?

Again I ask, why so vague? I am aware of what you said. That is why I am ASKING what the difference is....

The difference of science and God? The difference is that science deals with the natural world and God created it. The experience of God deals with the natural and the supernatural. The supernatural is on another level, but that which is revealed through the natural world as well.

No. The difference between what you accept as knowledge. You know how science approaches knowledge, and appear to accept it, but you must know that the knowledge you claim about God does not fit in that paradigm.

I don't understand why this is such a hard question.

There is a line crossed when you say that you KNOW that god exists, as opposed to just believing. Even the vast majority of atheists will not claim that they know a god does not exist.

I simply would like to know why you believe. Your testimony. That's what I'm interested in. I'm not going to call it silly, or irrelevant. I may ask you further probing questions, but my intent is not to ridicule. I apologize if you have felt that might be the case; I admit to being in an off mindset the last couple days, but I try to keep a cordial focus on this site, because I do, by and large, appreciate the attitudes of the Christians here....even if they are stubborn. ;-) I've been to other sites, where they are intolerably arrogant and dismissive.

Maybe. Religion had thousands of years to make this happen and didn't deliver. Atheism and agnosticism are on the rise and we can see crimes and suffering decreasing sharply. Maybe we should give atheism a chance?

All we are saying.. is give atheism a chance...

Ok thats your opinion that it is blather and non stop. Thats almost a personal swipe you like to make as though i am full of it. I notice that some ridicule and be little others on hear and i think everyone has the right to have their opinion without ridicule and despite their beliefs, culture, affiliations or race.

Yes i said i do not belong to any religion, that means i dont associate myself with a religion such as catholic, baptist, Jehovah witness or which ever. I did say i have a catholic priest as a friend, i do some work with the salvation army and i have been to some of the city churches.

Being a christian is not about what religion or church you belong to its about a faith in Christ and following his teachings. That is why it is called a Christ - ian. You have a go at me and you dont even understand what a christian is. You think i have to state a religion or church to belong to. I like to associate myself with many different people and accept people as they are and for who they are. I dont judge them because of their different culture or religion because they are an individual not a stereotype of the group they belong to. Many religious groups are not truly following the teachings of Christ and are just another club or organization of people.

If you notice in my profile i have the cross sign which says christian, some put catholic or whatever religion in their profile. But mine says Christian and its there for all to see and has been from the beginning. I think that is stating who i am and you have misinterpreted what i have said and then call me a liar and have held this view ever since without clarifying it with me until now with a jibe.

If that were true, we wouldn't see crime going down in the US as well. However, it is down dramatically in the US as well. Your assumption fails.
