If it’s an empirical claim that can’t be empirically investigated it’s hardly worth thinking about.
From a scientific perspective, yep. Science isn't god. Science is actually a very simple thing. But it can't be applied to everything. You don't use a pair of plyers to pound in a nail.

By the same count, you can't apply bronze age myths to everything. As you rightly said (misspelling excepted) "You don't use a pair of pliers to pound in a nail."

It’s hardly worth thinking about for anyone who is interested in being able to determine its truth value to any degree of epistemic certainty. Not just scientists. To follow your analogy, creationism is a nail you don’t pound in at all. You leave it in the box. It’s useless.

Boy, is that ever a blast from the past. Don't you have anything more recent?
What was comical about it was that I had to go to Bing to even find it. :D

Still, Misrepresenting the Galapagos Finches is an apt title for an article by Jonathan Wells. ;)

Creationism punches above its weight when it comes to
unintended humor.

My all time favorite is one about how all the
excess water from Noahs flood
was wafted to Neptune, where
it shines to this day
as a warning beacon
against incoming rogue
angels.

Or else how the polar ice does
predate the flood but does not
show there was no flood.

It just floated, held in place by the
circumpolar current, and settled back
down.

LOL! I don't know how to quote from one thread to another. I'll bump it on the "Study" thread so you can see it.
select the reply button, like for any other reply. Then select with your mouse the entire post, and do Ctrl-C. Go to the thread where you want to quote the post and select the reply box at the bottom of every page.
Ctr-V, you see the original text appearing.
Write your own comment and select the Post reply button.

Kind regards.

Heh. Well, I've also heard here that the Pyramids were hiding death star cannons which had previously been used against Mars and that's why it was barren... I've heard that New Jerusalem is hiding inside the artificial moon shell and after it comes out there will be an armageddon battle between that and the dead that the Anti-Christ raises. (which I thought was particularly odd, since I'm pretty sure Christ was in charge of the resurrection last time I looked. At that point, hidden Moon-sized battlestations become secondary lol)

I do kind of like that one though. It feels like a fairytale you might tell a child you loved as you were tucking them in for the night.

I'm going to guess that you worded it better than they did though.
