• No. True Christians cannot possibly sin, because they are the children of God. ?Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God.. (I John 5:1). ?We should be called children of God; and so we are? (I John 3: 1). ?He who loves is born of God? (I John 4:7). ?No one born of God commits sin; for God?s nature abides in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God? (I John 3:9). But, then again, Yes! ?If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us? (I John 1:8)
97. Who will bear whose burden?

  •
?Bear one another?s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ? (Galatians 6:2)
  • ?Each man will have to bear his own load? (Galatians 6:5)
98. How many disciples did Jesus appear to after his resurrection?

  •
Twelve (I Corinthians 15:5)
  • Eleven (Matthew 27:3-5 and Acts 1:9-26, see also Matthew 28:16; Mark 16:14 footnote; Luke 24:9; Luke 24:3 3)
99. Where was Jesus three days after his baptism?

  •
After his baptism, ?the spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. And he was in the wilderness forty days ... (Mark 1:12-13)
  • Next day after the baptism, Jesus selected two disciples. Second day: Jesus went to Galilee - two more disciples. Third day: Jesus was at a wedding feast in Cana in Galilee (see John 1:35; 1:43; 2:1-11)
100. Was baby Jesus? life threatened in Jerusalem?

  •
Yes, so Joseph fled with him to Egypt and stayed there until Herod died (Matthew 2:13 23)
  • No. The family fled nowhere. They calmly presented the child at the Jerusalem temple according to the Jewish customs and returned to Galilee (Luke 2:21-40)
101. When Jesus walked on water how did the disciples respond?

  •
They worshipped him, saying, ?Truly you are the Son of God? (Matthew 14:33)
  • ?They were utterly astounded, for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened? (Mark 6:51-52)

Man, this is getting old, constantly copying and pasting supposed contradictions. Look not many people if at all have all day everyday to answer these contradictions, and if you really wanted to you could find why all of those are not contradictions (its called google, yes ive tried it before and it works sounds crazy eh?) . Stop wasting peoples time, and stop being lazy, and find out the answer for yourself, instead of making other people do it for you. You have the whole internet at the tip of your fingers to find these answers.

(cheerleader accent) Oh-my-Gosh! Like totally thats like sooooooo cool. Im like soooooo ganna turn to Islam like totally!

(serious voice) You really think there are no condractions in the Koran? feast your eyes on this discover!

Muhammad gets the Bible all wrong.

Mistakes in the Quran. [it should be noted that many of the stories in the Quran come from the Jewish Talmud, the Midrash, and many apocryphal works--for instance Nimrod threw Abraham in the fire. You'll see this in Jewish extrabiblical literature.]
  • Christians worship three gods: the Father, the Mother (Mary), and the Son (Jesus) (Sura 5:73-75, 116) Yusuf Ali's translation deliberately mistranslates Sura 5:73 by saying "They do blaspheme who say: God is one of three in a Trinity". The words "in a Trinity" are not in the Arabic text. The Aramic says, "Allah is the third of three".
  • Christians bow in prayer towards Jeruselem (Sura 2:144, 145)
  • Wine and sex in heaven (Sura 2:25; 4:57; 11:23; 47:15). Was this not Muhammad's desire?
  • It took eight days to create the earth. (Sura 41:9, 10, 12 -- 4+4+2=8 days). The Bible says six days. Other Suras say six days (7:51, 10:3)
  • One of the sons of Noah refused to go into the ark and was drowned in the flood (Sura 11:32-48). The Bible says all three went in.
  • The ark came to rest on Mount Judi (Sura 11:44). The Bible says it came to rest on Mount Ararat.
  • Abraham father's name was Azar (Sura 6:74). The Bible says it was Terah.
  • Abraham lived in the valley of Mecca (Sura 14:37). The Bible says he lived in Hebron.
  • Abraham went to sacrifice Ishmael (Sura 37:100-112). The Bible says it was Issac.
  • Abraham built the Kabah (Sura 2:125-127). The Bible does not say this.
  • Abraham was thrown into a fire [by Nimrod]. The tale of Abraham being delivered from Nimrod's fire came from the Jewish Midrash Rabbah and was incorporated into the Quran (see Suras 21:51-71; 37:97,98). It must be also pointed out that Nimrod and Abraham did not live at the same time. Muhammad was always mixing people together in the Quran who did not live at the same time. The Bible tells us Nimrod lived MANY CENTURIES BEFORE ABRAHAM--HE COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS.
  • Throughout the Quran--Nimrod and Abraham, Haman and Moses, Mary and Aaron, etc. were all pictured as living and working together. Moses and the flood are found together, the tower of Babel and Pharoh, etc. like they all happened at the same time.
  • Man who bought Joseph was named Aziz (Sura 12:21ff). The Bible says it was Potiphar.
  • Quran messes up numerous Bible people. Goliath becomes Jalut, Saul becomes Talut, Enoch Idris, John the Baptist Yahya, Jonah Yunus, etc. Because Muhammad had no Bible to read he frequently got the names and events all wrong--but then again, he was supposed to be a prophet!
  • Pharoh's wife adopted Moses (Sura 28:8, 9). Bible says it was Pharoh's daughter.
  • Noah's flood took place in Moses day (Sura 7:136, 7:59).
  • Crucifixion was used in Pharoah's time (Sura 7:124)
  • Mary gave birth to Jesus under a palm tree (Sura 19:22)
  • Mary mother of Jesus is Moses' sister Miriam (Sura19:28). Muhammad was clueless.
  • Made up miracles of Mary (Sura 19:23-26).
  • Zacharias could not speak for only three days (Sura 19:10)
  • The test of how soldiers drank water came in the days of David and Saul (Sura 2:249, 250--actually it was years earlier with Gideon.

    Other Mistakes
  • Abrah's army defeated by birds dropping stones on them. History says Abrah's army withdrew after smallpox broke out.
  • The Kabah was build by Adam and rebuilt by Abraham. It was built by pagans to worship a black rock that fell out of the sky. Abraham never lived in Mecca.
  • Sura 20:87, 95, the Jews made the golden calf in the wilderness at the suggestion of Samaritans--there were no Samaritans at that time.
  • Alexander the Great was a Muslim and worshipped Allah and lived to an old age (Sura 18:89-98). Yusuf Ali and the Concise Dictionary of Islam confirm that Zul-qarinain in the Quran is Alexander the Great.
  • Alexander the Great followed the setting sun and found that it went down into the waters of a muddy spring (Sura 18:85, 86). Does that sound like a fairy tail or what?
  • Contradictions are too numerous to name...

People who do these things (namely Muslims) show that they do not care about knowing the truth about what they post. It is just a means of insulting and discrediting the Bible. Perhaps it makes them sleep better knowing that they have at least attempted to erase that voice in their head that says "Maybe the Bible is true". Even if it could be proven that the Bible is not true, it does not make the Qu'ran look any better than it does anyhow.

It is sad but laughable at the same time. May they be softened to the point that the real Jesus Christ can minister to them. This, I pray for their own sakes.

Well I checked a few out for myself and found that these three do indeed seem to be contradictory, I didn't check the entire list as it is too vast.

37. How did Simon Peter find out that Jesus was the Christ?

53. The gospels say that two thieves were crucified along with Jesus. Did both thieves mock Jesus?

86. Did anyone tell the women what happened to Jesus? body?

Hello everyone,
To, Daegor, thanks for your post about the three *contradictions*, please, stay with us to answer them...
To Discover, please, pick the *hardest* and *most obvious* contradiction, and let's see if we can *solve* it or not...
pick the hardest, and let's see... and if you liked it, we can do that to the rest of the list. one at a time...
what do you say?
or you're copying&pasting them here and waiting for no answer?

love to everyone

We have been down this road before. Nothing is going to change the minds of those who are resistive to learning or to understanding. It is obvious they are not here to learn; otherwise they would have researched the answers that we gave and conceded at some level that they could be wrong. Does that make any sense to you?

If your going to search for explanations on why its not a contradiction use google, its not like the responses here will be much different.

If you are responding to me, I was just being humorous. People use it to find dirt instead of actually trying to learn and to understand - at least with most of the cut and paste jobs. Often they find what they like and ignore the stuff that does not support what they already believe. It is often difficult to be unbiased. It takes a lot to be fair and impartial, especially when the finger is pointed at you.

Now its time to actually post something more meaningful.

That's what I did though, I looked at the refference to the first one on the list and found nothing about satan telling David to count the fighting men of Israel... Unless I read the wrong part.

Many that I read through I put down to bad translation or ever so slight differences in the text, so slight I wouldn't exactly call them a contradiction.

I only picked out those three because they were the first ones I came across that actually do vary enough to warrant investigation, nothing wrong with seeking the knowledge of a seasoned Christian is there? I'm sure the holy spirit could give you a quick paragraph long explanation for the heathens.

Plus I checked that they weren't taken out of context...

I'm TRYING to be fair here people.

There are bigger issues I have with the bible/christianity than those that are on that list, so I'm not converting whatever happens, I'm just here for an interesting debate.

So by all means fire away, just put the handbags down.

I admire those who have your attitude. I also, try to be fair. Do I always succede? In my book, I do, but that is because my goal is not to be unfair. Even Christians have issues with the Bible. Afterall, we are studying it to learn. If we knew it all, what would be the purpose of the Bible anyway?

In my journey, all of the issues have been answered in ways that leave no doubt that Christ is who He claimed to be and more. One day, I hope the same for you and others.

Since i have no homework and a lot of extra time, im going to solve a couple of "contractions".

I have already caught you making a mistake discover:

68. Jesus saw a man sitat the tax collector?s office and called him to be his disciple. What was his name?
  •
Matthew (Matthew 9:9)
  • Levi (Mark 2:14; Luke 5:27)
Matthew is also called Levi in the gospels, the son of Alphaeus. In matthew 9 it shows that Jesus entered into matthew's house and was a guest at his party. the sinners were also there with Jesus. This feast takes place after Jesus calls matthew to "follow him". When the pharisees accused Jesus of eating with the sinners, Jesus makes the famous statment" Those who are whole need not a doctor, but those who are sick". In luke 5:29 Levi made a a great feast for Jesus after Jesus called Levi to "follow him" and we see in luke 5 that Jesus was again accused of the pharisees of eating meat with sinners. Jesus makes the same statment " Those who are whole need not a doctor, but those who are sick". We have two gospel writers saying that Levi and matthew threw a feast for Jesus, but we see a condraction unless we understand that Matthew is also called Levi.

Another mistake i have caught you in discover.

88. What was Jesus? instruction for his disciples?
  •
?Tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me? (Matthew 2 8: 10)
  • ?Go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God? (John 20:17)
in matthew 20:18, Mary came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord. So some where bewteen verse 17 of john 20 and verse 18 Jesus must of told her what he said in matthew 28:10, since the disciples obeyed what mary said and went to Gailiee according to john 20:19

77.
  •
Adam was told that if and when he eats the forbidden fruit he would die the same day (Genesis 2:17)
  • Adam ate the fruit and went on to live to a ripe old age of 930 years (Genesis 5:5)
What God meant in Genesis 2:17 is that the day you eat of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil death will come upon you and the whole world. Adam was supposed to live forever in the flesh body since there was no death in the garden. Since Adam sinned, death came uopn him that day and he died 930 years later, but he was made to live forever.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: " Romans 5:12

This last one is a faily easy one
50. Did Jesus die before the curtain of the temple was torn?
  •
Yes (Matthew 27:50-51; Mark lS:37-38)
  • No. After the curtain was torn, then Jesus crying with a loud voice, said, ?Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!? And having said this he breathed his last (Luke 23:45-46)
The temple was torn when Jesus ascended into heaven and the new covenant was in order. read the book of hebrews and do your homework.

Those who attack that bible remind me of the terrorists. Terrorist have to be right only once and the counter terrorist have to be right 100 % of the time. I have proven that 4 of the so-called "contradictions" are not at condractions what so ever. Maybe somebody could take the time and solve all 101 of the "condractions".

Muslims base their religion on the bible since they say gaberial ( an angel in the bible) met and gave the koran to muhhmand-yet they say the bible is written by man.
