Do Americans want the various federal bureaucracies, which are all filled with people who were NOT elected into those bureaucracies, to be less accountable to the American public or more accountable to the American public?

I want people who are competent at their jobs to keep the government working for the people of this republic, and not beholden to the whims of whoever happens to be in the Oval Office.

I'm amazed that this type of potential purge could be legal in the US.

The irony is that those who complain about a "Deep State" in the US are the very ones trying to create one. The goal is to destroy democracy and create an autocratic system of power in its place. And it's all being done in the name of the very democratic institutions its trying to destroy.

Everyone probably remembers that one kid they played with when young, the one who would always change the rules of the game to ensure they always win. It's the same thing here.
