I want civil servants in goverment who are not behoden to the party, or in this case, a single man, in power.
Do you want the Federal bureaucracies to be accountable to the American public?

Yes, we're aware of your duplicitous framing of the issue. Have you any other talking points?

They’re already accountable.
Your argument is lacking.

Should the Federal bureaucracies hinder the policies of the POTUS as long as the President's policies are NOT breaking the laws and are NOT illegal?
No. There is no indication that is actually happening though.

There is nothing at all which is duplicitous about how I am framing the issue. I believe that you are accusing me of dishonesty. I promise you that I am NOT being dishonest.

Please show me how the Federal bureaucracies are accountable to the American public. Thank you.

Yet, why is it that it appears that the Federal bureaucracies have grown to epic proportions with regard to the amount of involvement in the life of Americans?
By what metric is that the case? Federal government civilian employment numbers have grown much more slowly than the population.

They can be disciplined under the terms of the Civil Service Reform Act, legislation passed by Congress. They can also be impeached by Congress. And it's worth remembering that in our federal system, it's Congress that is the representative of the American public, not the President.

Do you honestly believe that there ain't a lot of people in the Federal bureaucracies who have been doing everything that they can to be loyal to their own political and cultural and social agendas? Do you really believe that?
Well, since I work in government (Local, not federal) and have an understanding of what it entails and how chain of command works in the civil service, yes that is what I believe. Do you have anything other then innuendo to back the idea that this is not the case?

I wasn't talking about the numbers of employees in the Federal bureaucracies. I am talking about the apparent increase of involvement of the Federal bureaucracies in the lives of the American people. Do a majority of the American public want the Federal bureaucracies to have had increasing involvement within our lives? If we do, then so be it.

Given that Republicans have only won the presidential popular vote once in the last 36 years, it would seem that a majority probably do.

They’re accountable to Congress, which writes the Acts that creates the need for such agencies (in the first place).
Apparently what you’d like is for Congress to get off of its collective butt and do something (what!? IDK), but the business of the people hasn’t been getting done for quite some time now; maybe there’s some changes that would allow the government agencies to be run more efficiently and smoothly so as to not make their regulations too onerous to bear

We witnessed them take a month to select a new speaker, what chance will “civil-service reform” have when it’ll probably affect nearly every committee and subcommittee and cause loads of compromises (which has been verboten since at least from January 20, 2021)?

If I have an issue with a federal agency, I can contact my Representative in Congress to hold the agency accountable. And it does not matter if my representative is Red or Blue....he or she will avocate for their constituents.

"Civil service protections provide due process for feds who are disciplined or dismissed, leading critics to argue that they make it too hard to fire them. Ultimately, however, it is the American public that benefits from these rules.

Due process prevents the White House and its political appointees from dumping employees for partisan reasons. While top-level agency employees are political appointees who advance a president’s agenda, civil servants are charged with implementing those policies in a nonpartisan manner. Due-process procedures for the civil service are designed to protect the public by ensuring it is served by a nonpartisan, nonpolitical bureaucracy. The 1883 Pendleton Act was passed to promote a federal workforce based on merit, not partisan bias."

Trump’s plan to gut civil service protections was harsher than estimated

I'm curious as how effective you believe that method would be.
