Why would I know where the local Scout Troop is? And why would I waist time looking for one? I think it best to keep secrets over these things, I guess.Next time, give it to your local Scout Troop. They'll dispose of it in a respectful manner.
30 seconds on Google is a "waist" of time? Why would I know where the local Scout Troop is? And why would I waist time looking for one?
If you could put this into a comprehensible sentence, that would be great.I think it best to keep secrets over these things, I guess.
I just can't get over how some folks think they should be seen as experts in YOUR religion, when they don't even believe in its basic tenets.
It is hard for some Christians in our culture to think of Christianity as anything but rules you must follow, as morality. This is the legacy of Puritan religion and Calvinism.
Lutheranism is very different: God loves us, saves us, and gives us the freedom to live our lives serving our neighbor. We do not earn our place in heaven. God loves gay people and salvation extends to them also in the same way it does to straight people, through hearing the Word and receiving the Sacraments.
Personally speaking, I'm not going to treat another human being like garage and repeatedly attempt to have their rights as American citizens stripped away because they are different from me in some manner, whether it's their sexual orientation, their ethnicity, their religion, their gender or their age. I'm going to treat other people the way I would like for them to treat me and if I can help someone, despite who they are, then I will do so. I'm not going to deny someone my help because they commit some sin that I have never committed myself. I will show them love and compassion just as God has shown me love and compassion through His Son, Jesus Christ. That's how I choose to live my life.
I not going to waist my time over a flag. It's not God. I think it best to keep secret about getting rid of a flag.Thats what I met. But my neighbor, that's a police. Said to give him old flags, So I will do that.30 seconds on Google is a "waist" of time?

I have no idea who you "think" is keeping "secrets" about what "things".
And that is what real Christian ethics actually is based on. Not treating the Bible as a code of rules for life that must be rigidly followed lest some angry God punish us. It's showing the same grace to our neighbors that God has shown to us.
Do you have a reference to this "talented QB"? Certainly wasn't Kaepernick. He was a mediocre QB who is a back up QB on any other team and wanted starter $$$. At the time he opted out of his contract, his contract was worth an average of $21 million a year. No one will pay that kind of money for a back up. His employment status is completely of his own doing.I don't know, refusing to hire a talented QB because of his stance could be construed as economic violence.
And yet another example I can add to my reasons for being a liberal and not a conservative.
As I was saying in my previous post...
(6) It has been liberals, not conservatives, who have been consistently compassionate and supportive of me during the last 28 years I have been involved in political and social justice activism.
I think you should read everything Jesus said, not just cherry pick to support your own prejudice.
Naw, mostly conservative Christians "get abused more often" because they get stuck on "condemning sin" and never move on to the rest of it.Conservative Christians tend to get abused more often because they believe there is right & wrong. Jesus & the apostles had no hesitation condemning sin, along with preaching the love of God & the forgiveness of sin.
