LOL! I'd say thats the whole human race. Lets not bring bigotry into it.

The whole european snobbery versus the U.S. is so overplayed.

Um... I can see why you're confused. The OP is an article for discussion. I did not write it.

Yes they do. And when we get to the bare bones of it. All those things applied to western women apply to us all.

Borders & continents do not make that disappear.

Snobbery is only a way to make the person who practices it feel better about themselves.

In the hetero world - a confirmed bacholer is a play boy who wont get married and that has been forever.

I'm perma-single because I've been cursed with same-sex attractions. I can't get married. I can't be a priest. I can't do...anything. It happens. C'est la vie.

BTW, I have serious issues relating to women. I certainly couldn't trust one with my life or my heart. I remember as a boy when my mom, aunt and grandma would get together, my mom and aunt would spend most of the time kvetching about their husbands. I go the message that if a woman gets that close to you, she'll stab you in the back first chance she gets.

The problem might have been you associated more frequently with women folk than the men... who also vent.

Its an unfortunate way that ppl do these things. BUT - the same thing that causes craziness between men and women is the same thing that attracts them.
AND keeps the sexes constantly trying to figure the other one out because there will always be that aura of mystery that has a double effect.
Both exciting and annoying.

Life would be sooooooooo dull otherwise.

Not at all. I believe the "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free" is the biggest reason. The growing popularity of being "gay" isn't nearly as big a reason, but it doesn't help either.

In my case, I don't call myself gay and I never have. I am same-sex attracted. Dudes are attractive to me and that's just they way things are. As a Catholic, my obligation is to bear that as my cross and live the virtue of chastity in my life, the same as every other person who calls themself Christian. I hate with a passion that THIS is what I got stuck with, but what can I do?

The road to salvation involves a personal cross (Matt. 10:38) and there's no Easter without Good Friday.

As a kid, after some point, I never felt welcome around my dad for some reason, so I was left to be tended to by my mom and the women.

Fortunately, I'm not completely alone. I have people in my life who love me for who I am and are here for me, so I'm very fortunate compared to many who have absolutely no one to turn to in living right with this cross. Still, thanks for your prayers.

A lot of men are easily intimidated by women.

Especially homosexuals

They may have a variety of sexual issues to work through, due to the difficulty of successfully navigating sexuality in modern times.

Especially if their gay in a society that does not embrace them

They may look to the internet and various other impersonal means to satisfy their need for intimacy, but that does not mean they are gay.

No, its just that the vast majority of them are.

What they are talking about is more the idea of a man who decides to stay a bachelor primarily for selfish reasons.

God gives each of us a vocation in life and some people's vocation includes celibacy. However that is generally rare by comparison to the total population.
The increase of men who refuse to marry, in general, has a lot more to do with men buying into the play boy image sold by our culture, combined with the immaturity that goes along with that.

And you can't get a date if guys just aren't interested.

You are so right. And there are so many crosses for the world. Bearing them with patience and fortitude is why the path is so narrow.

With God this life isnt going to be easy.
However; eternal happiness vs this life - well its more than worth it.

This seems to be the typical story i have seen and heard.

Maybe its the fact some guys depend on their mums so much [for absence of a dad] that they feel that women arent the mystery - but rather men are - without having a dad or good dad figure.

Things are getting worse too.
When my girl was in Middle School - her friends were already active.
And a good many too.

With them doing this younger and younger and boys wanting to try everyone out, even puppy love [nearly non existent now] lasts a week - if even at all.

I dont think anyone realizes what a dramatic change it is from my own school days. Girls simply did not do that at such a young age, boys didnt think they would and didnt even ask.
Its shocking now.
