Good job on the contrast on this one. Is this applied with a brush again? Having tried the Yupo now, it is hard to get that kind of detail.

Thanks. The ink was applied with brushes and sponges, then wiped or scratched out with a variety of tools -sand paper, a pen knife, a damp paper towel, a spray bottle to apply mist when the paint was still wet. There is a much removing of paint as there is applying paint. The only ink color is black. All the whites and grays were made by wiping out, scratching out, or sanding the black ink.The yupo is great cause it holds the ink where you put it but also lets you remove it. Canvas works this way with ink too but the tooth can interfere with making fine details.

The street brick worker isI really like the values that bring out the 3d feel on the figures. The top figure has so many great realistic features in the pose, the shirt that blouses out, etc. Can you tell us more about the medium, paper type, etc.?
