A WORD IN YOUR EAR


Treasure worth more than purest gold
God’s word stands firm and sound
It bears much fruit when once it’s told
Like seed in fertile ground

Mysteries of old soon God will share
His Holy Wind will blow
The truth to man He’ll then declare
Will be as virgin snow

Too long we’ve been the devil’s tools
Deceived he’s turned our mind
He’s robbed God’s word until like fools
We stagger round as blind

But when God pours His Morning Dew
When Christ restores the dust
We’ve health we’ve wealth we’ve life anew
When in The Word we trust

God’s word, created Heaven and earth
The same shows man the way
The truth that leads to second birth
And life without decay

Always God’s word remains the same
As true as days gone by
It heals when used in Jesus’ name
Even through you and I

But though the word we’ve come to hear
Though truth has been revealed
Too few are taught the Lord to fear
Too few in Christ are sealed

We must arise Christ flesh to eat
Receive the truth He’ll give
Accept the wine at Jesus feet
Lift high our cup and live.

LET WOMEN PREACH TOO


It’s through God’s word we stand reborn
Both men and women too
Through Christ we see The Spirit’s dawn
Drinking The Morning Dew


Let women preach let people see
In Christ we’re all the same
Did God not set both genders free
Is this not why He came


Are women not to spread God’s word?
Is this not Heaven's plan?
Should man believe it quite absurd?
Though love declares they can


Our Father's face we need to seek
Not reason how it looks
Through Jesus’ Spirit man should speak
Not preach from worldly books


If in the church you sit in doubt
If still you fail to see
Ask Jesus what it’s all about
How Truth sets childen free


Let wisdom reign, seek God each day
The facts to understand
From women too we’ll find the way
When in the Master’s hand


What man may say I’ve little care
It's Truth! I’m looking for
If Christ’s not here I’ll go elsewhere
I’ll find another door


One day you too may walk inside
You’ll find me sitting here
Like me you'll grow to be the bride
Of Him I’ve found so dear.

BE GLAD GOD IS


Be glad that God is truth and light
Through Christ we have His strength to fight
Be glad we have His gift to pray
That still He calls to those astray


Be glad, that God is not like me
Before He came to set me free
Before my life had seen the change
Where now to self I’m often strange


Be glad that God is not like us
Such trivial things we make a fuss
The food we eat the clothes we wear
But not of that we have to share


Be glad that God is not like you
Too short of sight to share His view
For Heaven's Lord is pure divine
Pouring out love like common wine


Be glad that God is not like they
Who sit puffed up, who waste the day
Who know it all and then some-more
Be glad it’s God who keeps the score


Be glad, that God is not like she
To shake or stir she can’t agree
Though God sends forth His Dove as guide
Heaven or hell she can’t decide


Be glad that God is not like him
Who’s cup has evil to the brim
The devil thought Christ Jesus less
So don’t give Darkness your address


Be glad that God is God indeed
He meets in life our every need
Perfect in love forever true
My God I’m glad that You are You.

What can we children say

Yet still we break Your rules

THE SHEPHERD’S CHOICE
Some stand some sit some kneel some laze
Some mill around in fun
Some sheep will in a pasture graze
Before the midday sun


At times they seek to rest a while
Contently stroll the land
Rising to walk an extra mile
Beneath The Shepherd’s hand


They’ll forage in the fertile glades
Pausing to look around
They’ll nibble on odd selected blades
On tender flower found


Constant a babbling brook runs near
Inviting to it’s flow
Quite safe the flock devoid of fear
Can drink where’re they go


The Shepherd keeps the wolf at bay
The buzzard swoops in vane
Even the sheep that err or stray
Return to graze again


Always The Shepherd stands in view
Beyond the same old tree
From dusk until the morning dew
His watchful eyes can see


His eyes are like a burning flame
His feet like glowing brass
Yet all the sheep He knows by name
Can safely chew the grass


Such calmness in the sky above
Such warmth within His voice
The sheep can feel The Shepherd’s love
And make His way their choice

I TRUST IN JESUS


Before this body turns to dust
Before this world I leave
Upon The Lord I’ve placed my trust
Upon The Rock I’ll cleave


I’ve placed my trust in Jesus Christ
God’s Son of flesh and bone
The innocent Lamb sacrificed
I trust His word alone


I trust He chose for man to die
Then rose again to reign
That as God’s Seed He’d multiply
His flock when born-again


I trust His blood can cleanse the soul
I trust His blood can save
His very name can make us whole
And save us from the grave


I trust in Jesus’ loving care
I trust He bore my shame
I trust the love He came to share
Remains today the same


I trust the pardon Jesus bought
Can save this wretch from hell
I trust Salvation’s true report
My Saviour had to tell


Although the devil’s out to harm
Though Satan’s he’s out to kill
I trust my Lord’s almighty arm
I trust His righteous will


I trust my life to Christ The Lord
I trust in Heaven’s Door
I trust in God’s Almighty Sword
I’ll trust Him evermore…

GOD KNOWS WHO’S TRUE


Christ calls His flock unto the fold
His children to the light
He seeks the young He seeks the old
The black, brown, red and white


He calls the rich the beggar too
The thief yet running wild
He’ll raise the dead to birth anew
That all be reconciled


No need to fight no need to crawl
No righteous deed to claim
God calls His children one and all
To trust in Jesus’ name


Life comes to those who’ve heard God’s Word
Accept that Christ is true
Who turn to live the truth they’ve heard
And seek His will to do


God knows who’s true at Jesus’ feet
He sees who just pretend
Let Jesus deal with tare and wheat
Until the very end


God knows alone who’s right and wrong
He knows the goat and sheep
Let’s sing in Christ a faithful song
Until the final leap


Let’s help the frail, the feeble weak
Let’s serve as bride and wife
Let’s hinder not who come to seek
The One who gives us life


Lift up! The Lamb who chose to die
Spread forth the love He gives
Let’s seek in Christ to multiply
And show the world He lives…
