I have spent a long time trying to become a better person and a better christian.
Who can say if I have or have not changed. I am not a judge.

After some time in my life, I do feel that I have changed for the better.. But I am confused. The Bible teaches love and forgiveness, After some time, One can begin to really feel these things in their heart.

I ask you all, Is it wrong, To feel sorry for the Devil? I realize what the devil is, and what he has done to God and man,, but My heart was taught to love and to forgive, And I do feel sorry for a soul that is so damned without any chance for salvation..

Is this wrong to feel? Am I wrong?

Jesus was implored by demons to be cast into swine instead of to the abyss. No it is not wrong, actually it is essential to love your enemies and that includes the devil. In the end, emotions cause you to act either good or bad and so our emotions need to change so that we don't justify hatred, but rather we must learn to love all men and beings, including Satan, in order to be the people we were and are meant to be.

No grey area by who's perception? Because many people will disagree with one another on what is right or wrong, Who gets to tell someone else that their way is the only way when there is so much religious division?? Baptist, Church of Christ,Mormon, And countless others all disagree who is correct and who is not. Jesus Christs way was the only way, But among us all we can't seem to agree what way that specifically is,can we?

You can say there is no grey area, But by your perception you are the one shading what areas are grey and what areas are not, when you call something a grey area,. other people may disagree on whats grey and whats not..

Of course we can trust the bible, It is Gods word, But if people did not misinterpret scripture sometimes, there would not be countless religious division.. It is not wrong for a man to be wrong and to repent, But it very well could be wrong for a man to be wrong and serve that information to others and never know he was.. I do know the bible says in the last of revelations, that there will be a punishment for the people who change the words in his book, I wouldn't want to be the guy that got it wrong... i'm just saying..

I ask you to re read my posts, I never said That.. I said That i feel sorry for his condemned soul. That is a fairly big distinction, And yet. Even if you accuse me of saying that, That is only putting your own label on to something some one else said. That is a pretty bold accusation when I denied it from the very start..

So let me just throw this out there in response,, From my perspective, someone who is unable to feel sorry for those who are lost, there is something wrong with someone who can know someone is lost to the lord and they feel nothing? This is not what God teaches...

What right have you to accuse me of Loving Satan? It is not my fault that you lack understanding...

I will grant people this, If it truly is wrong to feel sorry for the devil, Then I am wrong, I am not a prideful man. That is why I came here. If I am wrong, I will correct the problem. But, I don't feel That i have to hate. I also don't feel like I must follow in everyone else's footsteps, I feel like I have a personal relationship with God and I speak to him through prayer very often. Sometimes, In prayer, I ask him not to go, But to stay with me.. I don't feel I am evil or wrong or sinning, to feel sorry for the devil. But even if it is somehow wrong. Then I will work on it and Fix the problem, I am not prideful. I didn't come here thinking I know everything, or have all the answers.

There are some other causes for that too.
One of them is that people want to see their beliefs justified by Scripture, in stead of basing their beliefs on the what Scripture actually teaches.
Another cause is the apparent infiltration of false teachings and teachers.

Sometimes, In prayer, I ask him not to go, But to stay with me.
God never leaves his children so there is no need to fear, if you are worried about it that is.
I don't feel I am evil or wrong or sinning, to feel sorry for the devil.
As far as I am aware there is no scripture that says not to feel sorry for Satan but I look at it this way, Satan has done what he has done and done it knowingly. He is where he is because of his own actions. Christ himself during his temptation reminded Satan of the correct way to live yet Satan still keeps on going. Now, and this to me is the important part, we have but 1 lifetime on this earth and our salvation must occur during that lifetime. Satan has been going for thousands upon thousand of years and still hasn't changed. Feeling sorry for him is admirable but is it a good use of our existence?
But even if it is somehow wrong. Then I will work on it and Fix the problem, I am not prideful. I didn't come here thinking I know everything, or have all the answers.
That is all most of us can do, work on our problems that are causing us to stumble, none of us perfect and Christ knows this and understands it. He is forgiving of those who are true to him so work on your understanding of the Bible, and please don't get caught up in interpretations of others that disagree with what the Bible clearly says.

Go in peace.

Thanks for your answer guys..I was speaking to my dad last night and we sometimes have bible discussions,, My dad believes that it's possible that everyone who ends up going to hell, may end up being destroyed with the second death.. I was already afraid of hell. But if it's true that most who go there will receive the second death and have their souls destroyed. it makes me fear it even more. I had always assumed that Justice was everywhere and that people in hell would be punished according to their sins. kind of like people will be rewarded according to how they lived their life... Does anyone know, if it is true that everyone who goes to hell will get the second death?
I don't know, but I do know that God will move Heaven and Earth to give us every chance to come to HIm.
He's patient and all that is good and Holy.

Edited to change it to earth.
smh

My faith says hell IS the second death. And God is holy, just, merciful and loving...He wants all to come to repentance and be saved...sadly, not all will repent and so be saved.

You should take a look at the actual meaning of the words i.m.o., and take heath of the translation problems.
Sheol is not the 2nd death, you see.
2nd death is annihilation, not existing eternally in hell.

I take heed only of that which is actually in the Bible. You need to figure out that Revelation is a beautifully woven riddle and first death is not being born again...they didn't come to life as Revelation states. The second death is hell. I don't think anyone can point to BIBLE passages which prove 2nd death is annihilation. (Remember, Bible dictionaries are NOT inspired Word of God.)

This may be off topic, I was once in an argument with two other guys about if angels actually had physical wings.. One guy told me that he believed that angels did not have wings and they were only drawn that way because man could not figure out how they could fly and so they drew them with wings.. The other man there insisted that Angels did in fact have wings and that the bible even goes out of its way in places to describe the wings that some angels have.. during the course of this heated debate. I realized,

Does it matter if the one guy believes they do not have wings and the other believes that they do? It in no way effects salvation for either man. There seems to be a lot of room for opinion in the scriptures, As long as one remembers what is important.

That being, There is an All Mighty Creator, The lord God, Who created Us, He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to earth, To teach us of Gods Love and demonstrate Gods mercy, And knowing that the price of all sin is Death, Jesus Paid that price for anyone who accepts him.

When you know and believe this, You know the most important knowledge..

I re-read my post and this phrase: they didn't come to life as Revelation states...could be taken the wrong way. It is more clearly phrased: just as Revelations states, they did not come to life again.

This IS off-topic however and can be discussed elsewhere at another time.

I hope the quotes work , @ 2 know him, I think you are correct, I believe that every action Jesus took had a reason behind it. He showed his Mercy to those demons,, If we have love in our hearts, We do not have to hate, To do the right things in the eyes of God,, Thank you very much brother :)

It is a lot easier to work through our problems together then it Is on our own, we need each other. I just wish more people actually understood that embracing Christ is only done by adherence to his words; if we don't love our enemies we are not followers of Christ, this is a self-evident truth.

Your welcome.

Yes I think it is.

If you believe that the Lord is righteous and just, perfectly able to judge because He knows all things, knows the heart, motivations, actions, ect. Then IMHO, you should know that the Lord is just. Whatever satan has coming to him I believe is deserved because of my Lord's righteousness. He CANNOT be anything but righteous.

That is what I believe. Also, God has already condemned satan so God has spoken.
