As discussed before, some people believe that nudity can be modest :)
(and some don't). :(

My wife and I sleep nude or half-nude all the time. Believe me, if we had to leave the house suddenly due to some emergency (fire, etc.), being nude would be the least of our worries!

I went to a nude beach before I was saved. Loved it! I felt free an natural and yes swimming feel totally different.. great! Since becoming a Christian I've had mixed feelings. Never went nude in
frfront of my kkids just uncomfortable about it (maybe that's telling me something) the beach I went to was adult. Didn't notice any sexual overtones at all. I don't go nude now even in my house alone nor sleeping. Think I mmight have to run outside or deal with an unexpected something or other I guess. Body type didn't matter on the beach. All ages and types. It was nice. Don't know if it's a sin but bible does speak of modesty. Have been very aware of that after my conversion. Guess I'd have to go with no nudity although I really did enjoy it's

Biblical references to modesty seem be be more in terms of overdressing--Timothy wrote of women dressing "not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire." However, certainly dress in ways that make you comfortable.

Agreed regarding the liberating experience of swimming nude!

Skin is the largest organ we have also a temple of GOD.We must take care of it.My last physical with my female doctor just a few weeks ago when she looked at my genitals and creases saw that the medication I was taking for the infection in the creases was not clearing up.She quickly looked up some more information about this and she said that this area is most always covered by underwear and does not see the sun.So she is referring me to a dermatologist and told me that she would be using uvb phototherapy on this sight to make it better.

Nothing wrong with you at all. I've been a nudist for over 40 years, and a Christian all my life. My wife and kids are also, and we are very active in our church. Most nudists that I know are also Christians, and most that I know embrace traditional Christianity, rather than liberal or new-age variations.

Many here on CF do consider it sinful, or at least questionable. I have taken their concerns seriously, and have failed to find anything even remotely questionable about it. My kids have a very clean, non-pornographic view of the human body and sexual morality, and my wife and I have enjoyed 24 great years of marriage so far.

No offense intended, but both John Calvin and John Knox would more than likely roundhouse kick you in the throat for being a nudist.

It is very offensive and sounds like violence. No offense.

It was neither intended for you nor as a threat. It was simply a remark on the views towards clothing and the fall by two of the most prominent Calvinist reformers.

Shhh. It's against the law to offend anyone in USA now. (Assuming you're American)

I can't speak for Christians, but I love body art and would definitely do something like that.

Don't think it is true of Knox, who according to what I have read was a good and decent person, but I understand that Calvin was responsible for the deaths of innocent people. Not exactly a good role model. If a murderer like him would think that going nude is wrong I would think that is a good reason to go nude!

I see that takes the place of the sun. To bad u can't find somewhere and somehow to get tbr sun..save u some money!! But maybe this therapy is safer
Yes it would be less expensive to have the sun shine on my infected area. However reality that if I would lie naked in the backyard I would get arrested for doing this.I appreciate your thoughts.Living in the city has it's obstacles.
I am most certain this therapy done at the dermatologist office will not be cheap.

Both were extreme proponents of clothing and modesty therein, as signs of covering the shame we revealed in the fall.

Also, if you're gonna mudsling Calvin, at least check your facts. If you're talking about his relation to Michael Servetus [who constitutes a single person, not "innocent people"], he was burned at the stake for denying the Trinity, a heresy.

Lot's of people were burned at the stake, and some of your idols no doubt did the same.

I'll be the first person to say there's a time for violence, and a time for tolerance.
(Well actually, Solomon said something like that, so I guess I'm not the first)

If someone is not attacking others, but is not conforming to my religious principles, I may feel like knocking (or cutting) his head off, but that doesn't sound like Jesus.
It sounds more like radical Islam.

Besides, the shame produced by the Fall was due to disobeying God, not for being nude. How faithless do you have to be to disobey your Creator, whom you have seen and walked with? God made them nude, and God does not sin, so how could their nudity have been sinful? Did He play a cosmic practical joke on them to entertain the angels? "Hey everybody, look at these two fools; they're running around naked as jaybirds and they don't even know it!" That's not the God I know.

After the Fall, they "knew they were naked" and covered up as best they could. Given that they had just taken the word of the Serpent over the Word of God, I don't think they had very good judgment at that point.

I'm not calling for violence. I'm saying Calvin and Knox would most likely have gotten pretty angry.

I'm also calling for the exact opposite of tolerance. This is a behavior that should not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form outside the bond and bed of marriage.
