I believe it is beautiful and perfectly natural, the way God designed us. So, I don't see how anyone could call it gross. Also, I think any man who views it in a perverted manner reveals his own heart. If a man gets "tempted" by watching a mother feed her child, he's creepy.

Should a woman force her child to go hungry to appease the sensitivities of perverts and pansies? I vote no. Besides, if on a plane, in an office, or crowded bus... I'd much rather she breast feed and keep the child satiated than to allow the child to become annoyingly disruptive.

Then let women walk around with a breast popping out of their shirt when they don't have a kid too, because otherwise it's discrimination and it's your problem that you think it's not decent. You place it on the woman whose breast wants some fresh air. Let's all walk around like the women from tribes in Africa.
The concept of "context" eludes you, doesn't it?

Second of all, listening to people chew is not on the same level of disgust as breastfeeding.
I agree with you here. Listening to people chew is FAR more disgusting than glimpsing a woman breastfeeding her baby.

2-Mothers and babies can have eye contact at other times, or when they breastfeed while not in public.
Why should you be the one to decide these things?

Excellent //! Thank you for putting it so bluntly. I have 5 children and nursed them all...but I would never nurse in public without covering...that is just plain immodest. And I wouldn't want some woman nursing her baby uncovered in the presence of my husband or sons, either. This is just another example of how the church is coming more and more to the same level as the world ~ ANYTHING GOES.

Oh, heaven forbid your kids, or worse yet - your husband! - see boobs. How awful! ANYTHING GOES, indeed.

What about in the presence of you or your daughter(s)? Would that be OK?

That's assuming you have at least one daughter, because with 5 kids, I'm playing the odds that you do.

Many people think breastfeeding is disgusting. Women should be considerate to those people.

If you feel it is that disgusting and it is ruining your day here is something you can do:

1. Go find a manager of whatever business you are in.
2. Ask that manager, politely, to have you escorted out of the business so you can be protected from the horrors of an eating baby.
3. Move on with your life.

How am I being politically correct?

I will refer you to our earlier interaction.

Why should they cover up? Because it's an issue for others? But political correctness is the idea that we should modify our behavior simply because it might be offensive to others, is it not? So if political correctness is stupid then women should not care that others have issues with them breast feeding, yes?

What's your definition of political correctness? In my opinion, political correctness is about not offending people. There's nothing offensive about a breastfeeding woman being required to cover up in a restaurant, unless that woman was a weirdo who wanted to show off what she was doing to the rest of the world, because "she is so proud of her baby", bla bla. Even if telling a woman to cover up is offensive, it's far more offensive for a person who doesn't want to see it.

Were or were you not the one saying that political correctness was stupid? My understanding of your statements is we should not worry about being politically correct. right? So since political correctness is about "not offending people" and the reason you give that women should cover up is that its "far more offensive for a person who doesn't want to see it" it seems to me you are refuting your own argument. Am I not making sense here or misinterpreting something?

Or just not look at the breastfeeding.

You've said this several times. Do you have any evidence to back up this claim?

I saw some of those on internet, just: hey look at me! with a shirt exposing everything, not even trying to cover up a bit, but I tried to find it and instead I found this, I don´t know people who breastfeed in public and I´ve never seen it, but she explains it good and made me see the point of it, but she does cover up a bit and is decent.
