Anyone heard of it....apparently becoming very popular in Africa and moving its way to the states.

I dont like the sound of it. Islam is incompatible with Christianity.

Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. In addition to the sermons, the Sunday school lessons will center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad. Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles. (NOTE: Due to the overwhelming response that this article has generated, the Pastor of Memorial Church has issued a semi-denial of the events we reported. They do not, however, deny supporting and teaching a doctrine called “Jesus in the Koran. Click here to read their semi-denial.

Yep I've heard of it. I guess Jack VanImpe & Hal Lindsey got kicked off TBN for speaking out against it.

Jesus said something about not being able to sit at his table and satan's at the same time.

Its one thing to be respectful, but its another to bring it into the Churches and teach it...and have Korans sitting next to the Bible - as though it is truth and equal status.

and just because he kissed it, doesn't mean that it was incorporated into the mass.

I think he was doing that to say "I respect you, let's be nice to one another".

The Koran is pretty unequivocal that God does not beget nor is he begotten. I do not see how such an uncompromising attack on the reality of the Incarnation and also of the Trinity could ever be compatible with our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes. People tend to forget that aspect of it though.

It's becoming quite the rage in some protestant circles.

SO i am hearing and so i brought it up here.
I should be shocked, but with the ways things are going in this world, not so much.

I find this repulsive to say the least. Mohammad made himself better - but that was his folly and his downfall most likely in the eternal world. Tho we dont know, i cant imagine him lifting himself up over the Savior and not being taken account for it.

As we Catholics say, we dont know anyone's judgment. Let's hope we dont have wayward priests getting into this. :crossrc:
