Actually I really like guys you guys and gals, but I do think I have a bit of a problem with their waffle thinking...maybe I need to try harder to incorporate this into my diet...

I had a great day yesterday. I went thrift store shopping, a favorite past-time of mine. I found a 1940's original radio in perfect condition for $75. It was in such great condition I thought it was a reproduction. I looked inside and it has all the original tubes, wiring, decals, company name plate, everything. It's really beautiful. The lady at the shop said the women who donated it was elderly and she needed to "downsize". I felt very blessed. I am going to give it to my husband for a Christmas present this year. Now where do I hide it until then. he's like a kid when it comes to presents, I have to be sneaky.

It's pretty big, about 17 inches tall and 13 wide and 8 inches deep. It was made by Stewart Warner. I have to look that up. I would like to know more about it.

I had a brain fade, my fault not yours. Yes, that's what I need. Maybe a safe in the wall, hidden behind a picture. Like in the movies.

I just checked on Ebay and they range in price all over the place. I did not see any like mine. I think mines a shortwave. I found one that sold for about what i paid for this one but it was not in very good condition. I did see one though that someone got for $27, that was a steal. I saw another that had been refinished and it sold for over 100, so I'm happy.
