Well, my grandspiders haven't really shown that much affection for me. In fact, they don't even know I'm alive.

Ya know, Brent? Ocky's hubby? Father of my grandspiders? He was in Ocky's web last night. And the babies were spangled about the web. It looked so sweet to see the whole family together. Brent is a responsible father. At least I think that's Brent.

I was going to go down to the DMV today and get my license but things happened and I did not do it, and I was having a good hair day too!!! I must do this before the end of this month because that is when my license expires. I know they are going to make me take the written test and I sure hope I pass it the first time, if not I will be driving the back roads.

How long are your licences issued for? Ours are for 10 years (Vic.)

That is determined by the state that you live in. I don't think any are for 10 years though. 5 would seem the max. but I could be wrong.

Here in Ark. my last one was issued for 5 yrs. But that hasn't always been the case. Once it was for 4 yrs and the first one in the state for me about 15 years ago was for only 2 I think. Who can figure out the govt.?

Good grief! (is it really good?) Always wondered about that expression but it does work here, I think. That being said...I remember when stamps cost 3 cents. Gosh, that makes me old....not at heart though. Sent a card to a friend in Romania yesterday. Cost 80 cents. And the cash register goes up on the cards at Christmas again...

Time marches on...Who remembers the March of Dimes?

I do. I remember the little cards that went home from school with us. It had slots in it where we could put our dimes to donate.

My best friend's younger sister had polio and had to wear braces for years. The March of Dimes helped her to get an operation.

I wonder if the March of Dimes ever did anything special for that poor DJ that tried to stay awake for 3 weeks straight to raise money for the effort. This was back in the '50's. The man was mentally damaged as a result.
