I lost my mom one year ago last month. I know what you both are going through. I think I will always miss her and I still want to call her up and tell her about something. It has been very hard since we were so close but I know that someday we will be able to share for eternity! But I still miss her.

 Just checking in for a few minutes while dinner is cooking. My husband's car was in the shop all day for maintenance, new brake something or other, etc., so I was gone most of the day. Did get a chance to run by and check on mom's computer and got it all up and running. She'll take her time and practice and learn in a bit I'm sure. I'll go back over Mon or Tues and hook up her printer. I'm reallllllly tired since hubby was off work today so we ran a lot of errands in my car while we were waiting for his. We're expecting a snow storm later this evening and as much as I don't care for cold and ice, etc., I'm so tired at this point I'm sort of hoping we can just snuggle up with a good book and go NOWHERE tomorrow!! I understand the grief over lost parents. My dad died 10 years ago and I still miss him so badly sometimes that I break down and weep. Should my mother pass away, it will be so devastating I can hardly bear the thought. My prayers are with those of you whose parents have gone on. :prayer:

Thanks everyone for your kind words about losing parents. I look forward so much to seeing my mother again and telling her all the things I didn't get around to while she was here.

My grandbabies are here today (Saturday is Nana's day with the grandbabies). They're taking their naps now, so I have a bit of a chance to check online and watch the Olympics.

If y'all would be so kind, I'd appreciate prayers for my Mom. She has COPD; they did a chest x-ray when she had a skin cancer removed last month and discovered a spot on her lung. She goes to get a couple of procedures done on Monday, to determine what this spot is. I'd appreciate prayer that the spot will be something treatable, nothing major (like I said, she has COPD and is very, very frail; I fear that if it's something major, the treatment might be more than her health can handle).

Thank you so much, everyone.

Blessings!

Good Morning, Valentine. Of course it is 5:30 PM now. It is cold and rainy I did not get anything done I was going to and I feel like I wasted a day. I don't know where the day went. It was morning just a few minutes ago. Sigh

I'm sorry Kathy I did not see your post until I had posted so I am adding this. I do not know what COPD is. I will say a prayer for your mother. God bless you both. Keep

Thanks for all the prayers, everyone. My mom misunderstood the plans for yesterday. It was to have just been initial consultations with the surgeons; fortunately (praise God!) they were able to go ahead and work my mom into the surgical schedule and performed the bronchoscopy. The surgeon didn't see a tumor (another praise God!); he feels that there's a 50-50 chance that it could be noncancerous. He took a biopsy of the suspicious tissue, but because the procedure was done so late in the day, they won't have the results back until tomorrow afternoon. They were thinking that my mom might even have to stay overnight for observation (given her frail condition and normal reaction to anesthetics, etc.), but she responded wonderfully (another praise God!) to the anesthetic & procedure, so she was released at 6:30. If y'all could pray that God would provide another opportunity for praise by the biopsy results to come back benign, I would really appreciate it. Thanks everyone!

Blessings to all!
Kathy
