Hernia repair? I've had 3 ventral hernia repair surgeries due to having too many C-Sections. My inards are held in by mesh!! lol

Praying that all goes well for your surgery in April, Dave!

God Bless you!

Thank you 'loveabounds'

This is my second... it will make such 'repairs' bilateral
Hopefully... this will re-enable me for a further few miles :D

It's me 'dave'

we are back, from the hospital
Today, was not the day, of the hernia repair

Thank you all for your prayers in the prayer thread, which I read before signing-in
after signing-in, I am led to a 'blank page' after seeing ERRORS ON PAGE and then DONE
The page does not display the existing thread I tried it five times and gave up
Prayer Requests doesn't open for me
What with the Blessings Machine failure... I had better ask members to make a note
of my email..... before anything else falls down LOL

So, here I am ... we spent a couple of hours at the hospital
where I was led through an assortment of tests

Height, Weight, MRSA nose-swab, BP, Blood Oximeter,
Urine Sample, ECG, Bloods: for Type, Thyroid and Liver Function
and a questionnaire of patient-recalled medical history

The outcome of todays hospital visit, is a firm surgery scheduling appointment
April 19th 2012...to arrive at 7.30am
Mary to return home [no waiting allowed]
and she will be informed by staff, WHEN, I am able to be taken home
by taxi or car, and also I must have 'adult company' for the following 24 hours

Oh yes, and I was also asked, whether I would agree to a blood transfusion
when I should require one
I replied that I would prefer my own blood
but in an emergency, I would be grateful to have receive to such assistance

Thus, I am again 'adjourned' until the set date _ If I was covered by insurance
I would have been repaired before December had turned into January

The mind just boggles

O dear, this progresses slowly....:hug::hug:; in a way I am relieved, maybe something better is in the Lord's mind. Prayers continue for your health.

Thank you dear Sis' Shirley for your prayers, re: my health

I have really struggled on several occasions to reduce
[push back] the protruding bowel...Where, on the other side 'of doing-so'
is the relief from the incapacitating discomfort of it's having popped-out

Re: the delay so-far[?] it could seem, [to me]
that patient's non-emergency surgical-needs
are being put out to 'tender'
iow: that surgeons are then invited to submit their lowest price for the work
and the job becomes then, somewhat, of a lottery

Spring Bee pic

Good pic....

I have had my lens focussed, in other places for some time now

With, the coming better/nicer/balmier 'weather'
local opportunity will, doubtless, become a living stream :)

God Bless you and your's Shirley

I get you Dave....the surgery should be a real benefit, if they would get it done for you.

Those brillant colors are typical of California.

Praying for Rolo, that the doctors may stop the bleeding
and that he will return safely back home.
Should God decide to take Rolo at this time....
I pray that you will find comfort in His Holy Spirit, Mercy in our loving Saviour
and perfect peace in His mighty presence.
AMEN.

The antibiotics that I have been 'popping' down Rolo's throat *
seem to have reduced his being irritated by his 'pendulum'
He appears to pay it less attention
For sure is, that has ceased bleeding, since last-night
and the wound at it's base, appears to be white and crusty [healing]

* Try as we might, to conceal the tablet in food and soft treats
Rolo would detect /seperate and spit the tablet out
Leaving us no-choice than to take his upper jaw and lifting it upwards
throw in the tablet and poke it over the back of his tongue

I have in the past, had plenty of experience doing this
with some of my 'Shepherds
It is 'quick, and very-efficient' ... "Daddy said, YOU WILL take it"

:amen:

Praying for the renewal of your spirits, and God's grace for your needs
Praying for your direction re: the repairs, and the means to have them done

Praying for Rolo, and all your concerns/needs Dave

Thank you dear Family for your caring :prayer:

Recalling only now, that I am further instructed
to cease my aspirin - One Week BEFORE surgery _
for it's affect upon bleeding at the surgical site

your Bro'

Penny is a pro at detecting pills in treats now too ;)
Thankfully we have plenty of experience getting a pill down a dog's throat :D
Happy to hear Rolo is a bit more comfortable

As are we Gail Sis'
It can be frustrating, to find one's self, looking-on 'inefficaciously'

I could always open my doberman's mouth and push a pill down his throat...he just loved me, no matter what I did to him....so far Gracie's meds have all been luquid and easy to give to her.

Still praying Dave for a safe and successful surgery...your spirit seems strong even while waiting and going thru very unpleasant "happenings".

I have had-to 'learn' / 'been taught' to 'suck lemons'

iow: I have experienced many distasteful /uncomfortable / painful things we can do NOTHING about

Have learned, to 'tread water' until,
more-placid 'currents' aid, my leaving the water [at-least, for a while]

With such lessons behind me, I find having dread of 'worse' then occuring
simply doesn't, become 'a worry'
If it hasn't happened yet /is not happening now_then it may not happen anyway
So, any such worry, may be a quite-unnecessary self-inflicted 'stripe'

Praise the Lord in whom, I am become strong

I've been praying for you Dave, especially this Tuesday when you were scheduled to go in for the surgery. Sorry I haven't been around. These last few days have been hectic both at home and at the office. I will continue to pray that you have a calm and peaceful spirit until April 19th and through the procedure. I also pray that our Lord guide the surgeon's hands and that all goes well followed by a prompt recovery. I'm glad that you are still here Dave, would have missed you if not. :) Glad to hear that Rolo's better and that Dad's in charge :) Talk to you soon!

I am waiting for the cabinet man to come today...he has made a new wooden medicine cabinet for us...no external mirror...I almost had a panic attack on monday...just thinking about more interruptions for this project, (the bathroom remodel)...I think today will be the last of the tinkering...doorbell ringing...running in and out......my goodness I am a wimp.

We are going to paint inside the house this year...we will do it ourselves, at our pace, maybe the kids will come down and help too.

I feel the same way....and we will be painting later on too.
We had it done a number of years ago and they did a terrible job prepping and painting :o

Live and learn :sorry:

You have my prayers
