I am looking forward to the painting job for some reason...
sounds like a neat thing to be doing for some reason...lol.
The fresh paint and primer we used in the bathroom never gave off toxic vapors...:thumbsup::thumbsup:

We also have PAINTS awaiting 'at the ready' \o/

Have fun 'painting'... It will provide for a better-finish

Anyone ever read "Jars of Clay"? I'm still sniffling...

JARS OF CLAY

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path."

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."

Each of us has our own unique flaws. We are all cracked pots. But if we will allow it, the Lord will use our flaws to grace His Father's table. In God's great economy, nothing goes to waste.

So as we seek ways to minister together, and as God calls you to the tasks He has appointed for you, don't be afraid of your flaws. Acknowledge them, and allow Him to take advantage of them, and you, too, can be the cause of beauty in His pathway.

Go out boldly, knowing that in our weakness we find His strength, and that "In Him every one of God's promises is a Yes".

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. - Isaiah 64:4 (KJV)

What a great pic

:amen: to that ~ praise God for His Merciful love

We just got back from lunch with my daughter(our first born) , and had a nice time.
She will be 37  next week ....where does the time go?!
She has done well for herself being a single mom of 2 boys, and managing her ex.
Prayers have been answered in that regard....and she told us today that "J" hasn't had a drink in 11 days (PTL) .
Thanks so much for your prayers  please keep them up....there is still a great need for them all.
God bless

Your daughter has a very good mom for moral and wise support.

Our park is always green and cool in a naturally dry area. the oak trees are pretty big, I can never get a shot of them to convey their massive trunks...but it makes me feel good to see and get close to them.

The wash is to the right of the trail...when we do get rain the runoff from the hills goes there...probably why the oaks are so big and healthy.

Hello Everyone,

Just curious - is the Bank Account function on the forum broken for everyone or just me? It doesn't show my rather large Savings Account at all. Thanks in advance.

Last Tuesday afternoon, I had-to attend for my pre-operative assessment at the hospital
So, I was unable to attend the final class, of the term [ceramics]
So I gathered up my project 'work' and sufficient clay to complete it, during the term break [at home]
The class-leader was pleased to see me do this
because this saves her from 'wetting' it down during out of term visits
and then attended the hospital

I have completed the Ornamental Name "ALICIA"
and now, I have 2.5 weeks to fuss over it's 'tidying-up'

At the end of last year, with 3 hours of class time [SPARE]
ie: _between projects and end-of-term looming .... I 'knocked-up' a little vase...
Having waited a while for kiln time, it was handed back to me last-Tuesday
and this is what 'that', looks like

The pot was made using coils that were later smoothed out a little [a time-filler]

The blessing function has been down since March 22.
Staff is aware, and are working to fix it ASAP

We just got back from a 'brisk' walk (temp and pace ^_^), and are now having a late lunch.
Church will be in 2 hours, with the long reading of the Passion account for Palm Sunday.

Praying you all have a blessed Holy Week, my dear friends
