It all starts tonight. Yay. I will be watching the opening ceremony at a friends house on big screen tv but it is actually happening right Here. amazing. Two of my sons got to go to the Wednesday dress rehearsal and said it is awesome.
I just found out the NBC is tape delaying the start in the US to 7:30 pm instead of our actual westcoast time start at 6 pm. How silly. So you can't see it live. How sad and a big mistake I think.

It has been quite a week here. Rob is recovering well from his fall. He had the most colourful black eye. He is still having a lot of pain in his back and now the top of his left leg is numb, so I will try and get a drs appointment for him tomorrow morning. We are blessed with some lovely friends and neighbours. A friend came round to see us earlier in the week with an enormous bunch of flowers for us. It was such a lovely surprise and then early today our neighbour came round to see us with some fresh laid eggs from her chickens and a plate of cup cakes she had made. We really are so blessed.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Kindness and love are healing salves during times of trial. This is a beautiful reminder for all of us. Rob will remain in my prayers.
