What Is the Armor Of God?

As the disciple Paul looked at the Roman soldier assigned to guard him,
he reminded us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but is
a spiritual battle!
He then used the armor of the Roman soldier to illustrate a spiritual truth:
that God has given us “spiritual armor”
to protect ourselves and to war successfully…

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the Full Armor of God, that you may be able
to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces
of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness
in the heavenly places.
Therefore, take up the Full Armor of God, that you may be able to resist
in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth,
and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

that when tasked, by evil tongues, that slander
and call your beliefs as worthless
and would cast them aside, as the wind does to the chaff
then hold fast, to that which you have learned
not for nothing, is the spirit with you
for you have harkened to the 'word'
and the 'loving word' is not in them, that call you
and they cry, that they, are not loved

I woke up at 5AM because I went to bed so early last night! This new medication the Dr put me on just knocked me out. I have to work today but only for about 3 hrs, that's about all I can do. I think it's going to be a long day. I have the cast taken off on Monday and hopefully it can stay off.

Hi all dave first off don't let anyone drive you away from loving fellowship.
Today it is a bit overcast and I have been enjoying 'birdwatching" out my back door to my yard. WE have a very docile Varied Thrush visiting. It is very pretty but my young son borrowed my camera today so I couldn't catch a picture of it. BTW i have tried to browse and download photos again and can't make it work. Does it have to go through a web address and not just from my computer like on FACEBOOK? Jan

you could, upload pics to your profile albums here
and once you have them loaded open a pic to view it there
copy it there [it's then in your clipboard]
come to your message on forum and right click in the message box
and select paste and typr your text around that image

you could also, use photobucket [I dont recall if you have that ?]
and paste the links here

and, you could also click on GO ADVANCED under the message box
click on MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and use CF's browser
to seek out the images on your PC and attach them to the post
more-details re: resizing of the thumbnails, if, you choose that route


If you are in a hurry [?] attach them to an email [to me]
I will host them at photobucket and provide you with links
to use in your messages

So long as you can supply them with your details [email-addy]
you then need only click the 'lost password' text link below the login
and they'll send you a link, where you can then set a new one
[usernname and / or password]

Did anyone watch the Kentucky Derby? I just love it and watch every year. What a race the winner (Mine That Bird) ran!! I have never seen a jockey that excited. I had picked Papa Clem who had a good run and came in 4th.

No one has mentioned having problems that I know of there.....
