We are having a very bad heatwave here in Jersey.
They closed my girls schools early and sent them home.
I have no plans on moving anywhere today.
I hope that you are well and cool today.
Our son got here on Saturday. He looks so good. We were tracking his flight on the us airway web site. It was fun to see where he was. He is spending a couple of days with our oldest daughter. Wants to hit the jersey beaches while he is here.
Well I think I will go make some lunch.

Good evening everyone. At least the rain as stopped for a while. No storms that I know of are due. Maybe we can dry out.My husband has been trying to plant the veg.garden, but it's just been too wet. Since we will be down in Texas this next week I guess our garden will have to be a late crop.

Hope you enjoy your Texas trip! Have you had any flooding in your area?? Seeing a lot of areas in the Midwest severelly flooded on the news today. We got a lot of rain yesterday and last night, but we needed it. We had been on the dry side. Thankfully, no ugly weather associated with it.

Good evening Kay, sorry I missed you when you were on. I work during the day and I try to stop by for a short time while the boss is at lunch. We didn't have any flooding by my house, just a lot of rain and wind. Kitty had tornado warnings. They were in the basement at their house up near Wi. border. I'm looking forward to coming down your way. It's been at least 10 yrs since we've taken a week off for a vacation. Should be interesting with 4 adults, a 6yr old boy and a 2-1/2 yr Lab. plus all the stuff you have to pack in one minivan.

I have seen pictures of some of the flooding it is terrible. The weather patterns are tending to the extreme I think. We have unseasonable wet and cold here. No major problems. I am glad that the weather is easing up for you missdancerama and nj I hope you can get some breezy respite from the heat. Here we are still in our winter wear with furnace blazing away. THe Cold North lol. except we are the coast and supposed to be warm. Jan

I also try to always have a Bible available. Not remembering and holding onto our First Love all of the time will definitely get us into trouble with the One who matters the most...

Well, I have a Bible in my purse, another in my car, another in the hall bench where I sit and meditate (if you look at my homepage, I am sitting on "my bench"), and still another I study out of.

I flip through my Bibles several times a day.

I give them as gifts.

If I find I've left home without my Bible, I go back and get it.

I give Bibles as gifts, to my kids, to others...

I go to it when I am upset, or need comfort or encouragement.

I always travel with a Bible...

I love my Bibles. Most of them are tattered and torn and falling apart--but I love my Bibles. I am so grateful to our Father Who has not only saved us, but also revealed Himself to us in His Word. He is so AWESOME.
