  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Thank you for posting this story for us Dave! There are so many memories lost in the archives so to speak. Tears came to my eyes as i read it even though no one I know was involved at any point.

Hi Jan

In my search, I came across
the details below.....? and, I wonder
if, I haven't struck right one with my FIRST LOOK

There is a few more pages for me to look through
but the key words: crash site/ memorial/ Cheshire brought THIS

up, into the short list

10.25am here Good Morning everyone from dave and Mary [Manchester UK]
grey, overcast skies_ temp' about 11-12 degrees Celsiuis [almost, 47 Fahrenheit]
with, the possibility of, sun getting through the cloud in a while
Time, here is limited at the moment while, shortly, I will have-to
go and get myself ready to accompany my Mary to the 'Ball'
that has been arranged for-us 'oldies' at, Broughton House
Which is, A Home for Old Soldiers
Taxis have been laid-on for our journeys, there and back

I got some new photo's from my youngest daughter yesterday
along with a coffee mug that has had those-photos transfer to its outside
Along with a the words:

We have actually had a bit of a reprieve from the rain as well. Even saw "SUN" for about a half an hour now I think I see more clouds rolling in. Well it was nice while it lasted. lol Jan

Have a great trip MissM!

This afternoon is my Study group. We are studying First Samuel. Tomorrow I will be visiting with friends of long standing. They are in NYC for vacation and we'll spend the evening together. Can't wait.

Hi everyone.:wave:The site is a little slow today and why do I see so many ads now?? I never use to get that many. Is there a way to shut that off?

It sounds like you are all well and happy. To those on vacation--have fun, fun, fun. Terrible weather in some places so I can not complain. It is hot but that is usual for this time of year but we sure need rain. Someone said the weather patterns seem to be extreme. Does it just seem that way or are we seeing the beginning of the end? Some of it because we are such a connected world now. 100 yrs ago no one knew what went on anywhere except in their own little world. Listen to me go on!

Everyone have a great day. I miss you all when I'm offline for awhile.:groupray:

LOL, I just saw this "Become a CF Site Supporter Today and Make These Ads Go Away!". I was a site supporter before the changes happened! How do I tell if they have me down as a supporter besides the ads? I will have to look up when I paid the membership fee and for how long.

Hiyah keep'

Yes..... I agree that it is, only since RADIO was introduced
that we were able to know in REAL TIME
just what other world locations were experiencing
in terms of weather and politics

Yes the site is not-only a little slower... but, has also
TIMED me out, x three times already
ie: to post the authored message I HAVE TO SIGN-IN again
and then, click on PROCEED

:)

Well there is also lots happening here

I am off to 'ceramics'

catch you all later

Good morning everyone.
Well our son from Az was here for the last 10 days. He left yesterday morning.
It was so wonderful to see him. It has been way too many years.
We had a wonderful time.
We lost power last week for a day and a half due to really bad storms. With no power we had no internet and no phone. Little battery op radio and flashlights. It was not fun, but the Lord sent a friend who brought us ice and other things to help see us through.
We have almost finished getting our plants in the ground. Eggplants, tomatoes, zuccini, yellow squash, green peppers, cucumbers, blue lake beans, plus herbs and flowers. Now as long it isn't too hot of a summer or too rainy either.

I have missed you all. I hope that all is well with everyone.
Well time for me to go do some housework. I will be back to check in later.
Have a beautiful day.

I was told [at ceramics class] yesterday

that when my latest effort is dried fired and glazed
I WILL NOT be able to send it off to my granddaughter
as it, is to be entered into an exhibition here in Salford [Greater Manchester]

It is ONLY, a HORSE SHAPE with Blanket, Saddle and Stirrups
but, concensus says that it is worthy of showing [In September]

Poor Alicia.... she will have to wait until the exhibition is finished
before, I will then be able to pack it for posting

I have TODAY, used the oven [in the new cooker] for Rhubarb Crumble

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhhh

looks pretty good

njsister, I'm so glad you enjoyed your sons visit and you got your garden in! I am not able to grow anything this year and it makes me sad listening to the wonderful things people have growing in their yards but I am very happy for you all that you can. Next year hopefully I can join you! Welcome back.
