  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Your horse must be very special to have it entered into a exhibition.
She will be even more proud of it when she does receive it.
The rhubarb crumble looks so good. I have never been a rhubarb person, but it still looks very good.

I was told [at ceramics class] yesterday

that when my latest effort is dried fired and glazed
I WILL NOT be able to send it off to my granddaughter
as it, is to be entered into an exhibition here in Salford [Greater Manchester]

It is ONLY, a HORSE SHAPE with Blanket, Saddle and Stirrups
but, concensus says that it is worthy of showing [In September]

Poor Alicia.... she will have to wait until the exhibition is finished
before, I will then be able to pack it for posting

I have TODAY, used the oven [in the new cooker] for Rhubarb Crumble

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhhh

looks pretty good

We have not had veggies in a few years. We started to miss tending to them and eating fresh, so hubby decided that he wanted a garden this year.
I love my flowers though. Nice thing about plants is you raise them and they don't talk back. LOL
I wish I could share our crops with you. I will try to post pictures as the are growing though. I'm not very good at the picture thing yet. But I will try.

It was a great time with our son. Makes me understand that it really is all about family.
Have a lovely day.

njsister, I'm so glad you enjoyed your sons visit and you got your garden in! I am not able to grow anything this year and it makes me sad listening to the wonderful things people have growing in their yards but I am very happy for you all that you can. Next year hopefully I can join you! Welcome back.

Just dropping by to say goodnight

It has been rather a long day due in part to my struggling a little at photobucket
preparing sets for show here
and also Annie's pic moving lessons at photobucket
which is proving most troublesome [Pb is]

Keeptrying I think there are too many ads but I am not a CF member so guess I can't complain. The thing that bothers me is the type of ads I am starting to see on here. NOt really appropriate for a Christian site I don't think.(Just a few not all by any means),
dave I grow rhubarb and I am partial to rhubarb and strawberries mixed in pies and crumble I have never tried it on its own.
nj may you be blessed with a bountiful harvest. Oh yeah dave I am very interested in seeing your ceramic horse when you can get the pic posted. Jan

I've loved rhubarb all my life! It was actually my Dad who taught me how to bake rhubarb pie with meringue . . we really got competitive to see who could do it better, but he usually won! (He was a cook in the army)

Been eating fresh baby spinach, the only other thing in the gardens ready yet up in the north country. There's just something about mussing around in the dirt, isn't there?!

I have not paid attention to the ads but I will now. I agree a christian site should be selective in what adds are ran, I wonder if they can control that?

My aunt use to make rubarb pie and gooseberry pie. I was not partial to either as a child. I do remember sneeking a stalk of rubarb from across the fence from our neighbors garden and sucking on the stalks as a very young child. The neighbor was a nice woman and I'm sure she knew we did it but she never said anything, God bless her.

I also would like to see the horse Dave.

Very well, I will take my camera with me next week
and obtain some SHOTS of, it
in it's WET 'state'

The Class leader, has suggested 'boring out' the front legs somewhat
to aid drying but the reason I left them 'so solid' was
that they wouldn't BUCKLE under the weight of the body

I have now had another 'inspiriation'
one of, that I could attach a plinth [below it's tummy]
which, would permit me to reduce the leg thickness
from carthorse to quarterhorse and even to give the legs movement
[instead of, squarefooted standing

Yes... please look-forward to pre-finish 'views' of, my 'horse'
next Tuesday evening [afternoon in the US]

Not much to report only one more week of work till summer break. I still don't have any home stay students lined up for the month of July which is a disappointment although I have said I will leave it in God's hands. He knows how much i can handle better than I do. Our newly formed Christian drama group at church has come up with our first short play (one act) I will play an angel encouraging someone to witness. I was out looking for suitable costumes today at thrift stores and costume shops. I am still not sure how I want to play the roll so haven't finalized a "look" yet but it was fun browsing. Now I have to get busy and memorize lines. (The hard part)He wants us to have it memorized in three weeks. Yikes. we don't perform till late august tho.

Kaykay, she's cute.

It will never be that hard again, now that you have a character. Whenever you want to edit you can mess around as much as you want, and you won't lose what you already have unless, of course, you hit "save" before you're ready to.

I've done that several times. Or even worked on my character one day, and then came back and did it again. My present characters were floating in the sky--I had to go back and move them again to get them close to right.

btw, thank you for your comment on the West Texas sky! Yes, that's what I was trying for. We don't have any interesting hills here, or mountains, but we do have an amazing sky. :)

Oh, I've had a character for quite awhile. The problem is I have too much stuff "pruchased" and no way to "unload" it currently. It tends to make the "changing" process very slow. Several people have reported this problem to administration and they are aware of it. But I guess they currently don't have a way to solve it or for us to as I said, get rid of stuff yet. Yesterday, it was like it "hung up" or something. I wish I had not downloaded so much stuff at the get-go!

Have a great week-end all! Yes, Ariel, I do remember the amazing sunsets!

I have the same problem--too much STUFF. Oh well. I was just trying to get back what I had lost, and so loaded up. I still haven't gotten back everything :( Where would I put it?

But isn't it nice to be able to put more than one person in an avatar? I tried to put my husband in. He still doesn't look right, but I tried.

I like the family scenes people are doing. :)

Yes, I do like being able to put more than one character in. I put 8 characters in on Memorial Day, our friends that were coming over for a barbecue! And I think's that's when I got "over the top" with stuff!:D I think your dh looks nice. I had trouble finding "hair" for my dh that looked like his! LOL!
