  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There are sme manual adjustments on the blade and cultivators, but for the price one cannot expect too much, and it is designed for a garden tractor. I suppose one could attach wheels and a lifting device after the fact.

Cheers,

Jim

PS. A blacksmith here is called a farrier and shoes horses. We don't have any blacksmiths as such in Canada. There are machine shops, but they can be quite expensive for even simple repairs.

Yep---can't expect much for the price. I didn't see any "gauge" for the blade.

One must be careful with the garden tractors. They can only draw so much before a permenant damage is done to either engine or transmission. Mine is 22hp, but I am still very careful with it.

In my lane, 1/4 mile, I don't really have to lift it. I can turnabout at both ends. The blade does adjust to bevel to either side. The photo is not clear enough to define all they say in the write up.

Cheers,

Jim

Yep--get a 22HP White to but only about 200yrd rd but it's about half up hill and I don't think I can drag the blade uphill very easily. I would like to able to start at the top and come down but I still have to get up the hill first. I looked at the repair manual and it looks like the blade can be reversed including putting a 30 degree angle on it. $189 for blade/cultivator plus $52 shipping. Think I'll get one in Sept.

It's been hovering around 100 degrees today and after working at Habitat for Humanity today all I've been doing the rest of the day is dragging the sprinkler around the yard. It doesn't rotate anymore because of lime buildup so I have to reposition it occasionally and get drenched :)

Lemon Juice: CITRIC ACID or (Vinegar: acetic acid)
or, sodium hypochlorite (bleach) can dissolve the lime
and passing water through the system later
will dilute the Bleach / Acid

;)

dave

I'll just soak it in vinegar (acetic acid) when the watering season is over. Lots cheaper.

Vinegar was the very first medicine mentioned in the Old Testament, and has been used for many things all down through the centuries.

It is also great for keeping the moisture in meat when cooking. The vinegar evaporates, but the natural moisture remains in the meat. Amazing vinegar!

Now, daughter is in hospital awaiting the moment of delivery. So, by day's end we could be sixpence richer....for those not informed, his name will be Tanner, and that is wot we used to call a sixpence in England. So, I have an old sixpence coin ready to press into his hand when he comes home.

Cheers,

Jim

Still having gkids Jim? That's great. I think my kids might be finished in that area. God bless Tanner :)

I have a paperback somewhere here----OK I went and found it. It is written by a doctor Jarvis in 1958 and is called "Folk Medicine". Written in the perspective of people of Vermont. Touts the amazing qualities of honey and apple cider vinegar.
