Okay Annie

I guess you have a hankering for a road-map

Oky dky .... You will have in your PC some means of playing Audio CD's......... QUICKTIME /MEDIA-PLAYER ?
Yes;
but I seldom  remember *How to access* our Music-files :D

This "pooter" (and the previous 5 we had), remain mostly a 99% PUZZLE to me.

Hey, you can make this a "seperate" thread below - &
write the destructions ^_^ in it, for me to reference

If, you are using a LEGIT operating system
then, Microsoft/Windows Update
would be happy to update your current player
Dave -
Why would you :o assume, we don't have a "LEGIT operating system". Of course, we do.

And yes, we just got an "Upgrade" (supposedly) today -
that neither of us *Authorized* Scarry!!

pop audio-cd into cd-rom/writer or dvd-rom/writer
and in EDIT, select required-track and hit 'copy'
select File, select 'save-as'
enter track name.. in the title-field and below that
select required format to save track in

example
WANTED an .wma (windows media audio) version
of a Hymn called.... "Soldiers of Christ Arise" found on your cd as a file called : Soldiers of Christ Arise.cda

When you click save-as...
you then, type-in the file's name
and below that title field (in the save-as menu)
choose from file formats available

.wma or ,mp3 ????
the newly saved version is that which you require

Believe...! so easy IT IS!
All that, to me, makes about as much  sense as
"w30r59a34906qsgV" - actually makes more ^_^ sense
ROFLOL :D

It may seem 'impossible'
SIMPLY
because of a lack of experience
As you can see below from the Thread I just started today,
the concept "impossible" is for the vast-majority, not in my Belief-system, nor therefore Vocabulary.

Tho (for the past 6 yrs. I had another challenge) - it is wonderfully-healing, so -

Yes, I do know 'lack of experience' is all it really is. :)

You would only need to be shown once or twice
I am sure....

awww

dave
Not only have I been shown, it's been explained to me, plus
I have practiced it in the presence of Sweetie plus daughter - and
still, I fumble & fret :sigh: simply because
I don't practice it enough... for it to become *conscious competence*

I've got too many other activities, I am playing Catch-up... on.

THANK-*you* for wanting to Help, Dave. ~ Very-kind of you. Reps to you! ~ Annie

====================================

As I read of your tribulations and denials Annie
I recalled my old avatar
I believe I will fly it again for from it flys various maxims

to learn, you have first to listen

which presents one with one-big highway congestion problem
especially, when all the roads run out of town
LET ME OUT - I CANNOT COPE - IM DOING TOO MUCH ALREADY
ahhhh swim young lady

I 'read' something recently! and it keeps going through my head now

"If the Lord shall bring you to-it
then the Lord will see you through-it"

That isn't wrong at all it's very true is that!

But using the metaphor
of the clever boy who put his finger in the dyke

it would indeed be a miraculous work
to be able to cover all the holes in a colander

I wouldnt presume that I knew what God wants of me

so, when, I give of my best...

It means I am wholly involved
(and, that the service couldnt get any better)

it's my 'worth' my value to-anyone passing by
that didnt have it also YET!

help-yourself and pass it on
should you find error or an update necessary
then please speak up ! and let us both know
Im sure I hear or see another of his wonders
every day these days

Today had one such wonder to behold
I found my reputations
and also the posts for which they were awarded

and in reading through them all....

I was given understanding of, just-how
my 'thoughts and beliefs' were being read

shared thoughts/ shared beliefs / a siblingship of experience

We are not so different you and I
where you simply-observe a different-portion of sky
when, what can irk or, also amuse
can occur at a similar time/ setting /occasion
and similar experience will deal a similar way
"always wiser with hindsight" < implies LEARNING

My favourite maxim:
You always excel (be at your best)
whilst undertaking
something you enjoy-doing

iow* IF YOU LIKE DOING IT ?
you will DO IT OFTEN = practice
and what does practice make ?????

GAME First one to complete this well known saying
and provide the answer will WIN 100 blessings

WHAT DOES PRACTICE 'make'.........?

GO!

Dave,
Yes, you were doing Ok, when you stuck with your "pooter-related encouragements" ~ That, you seem to have a fair amount of competence in.

~~ BUT
The part of your post, starting with "As I read of your tribulations ... and
ending with " that didnt have it also YET!" ~ you veered back into similar delusionary psycho-babble that got you into Trouble here, the 1st. time around :sigh:

My favourite maxim:
You always excel (be at your best)
whilst undertaking
something you enjoy-doing

iow* IF YOU LIKE DOING IT ?
you will DO IT OFTEN = practice
Yes, both are very :) True....
which is why I __iceSkate__ (practice it, at
every opportunity (excepting the last 2-months :(,
but that's a different :help: story)

and what does practice make ?????

GAME First one to complete this well known saying
and provide the answer will WIN 100 blessings

GO! dave
I sure hope
you don't fall for the mistaken idea that "Practice makes perfect". Most assuredly, it does not.

The truth is: *PERFECT-practice makes perfect*.
Let's say I want to *have a Waltz-jump* which
I continue practicing towards... ~
Dandy!! :D
Unless, I get the
1. Launch *perfect*, and
2. the Air-positions *perfect*, and
3. especially, the Landing *perfect* - it ain't gonna happen.

I can practice it, from now until the end of time; BUT

only PERFECT-practice, will have me get a Waltz-jump.

(in case you're wondering, what has this to do with the previous "pooter"-subject,
I invited you to
Start a thread, on it below.
The ball's still in your Court, Dave.)

Cheers! ~ Annie

A friend sent me an email with this poem attached I do believe the sentiment is sound:thumbsup: although I am not advocating tolerating filth forever. :help: lol. Jan

Life is short. Enjoy it!
Dust if you must,
but wouldn't it be better to
paint a picture or write a letter,
bake a cake
or
plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time

with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out
there with the sun in your eyes,
the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow,
a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go -- and go you must --
you, yourself will make more dust!

Share this with all the people in your life!
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Cheers Jan

This was in my Senior Courier:
All I learned about life I learned from the Easter Bunny
Don't put all your eggs in one basket:)
Everybody needs a friend who is all ears
There's no such thing as too much candy:clap:
All work and no play can make you a basket case
A cute tail attracks a lot of attention
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day:scratch:
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits
Keep your paws off other people's jellybeans:thumbsup:

The best things in life are still sweet and gooey

Great poem, Jan. I must be careful not to take it too literally. Lol, my house already suffers enough because I love to get online!

But discipline myself I must, even to dust. There is such a thing as quality of life, and everyone enjoys a lovely home. So--off to my dusters! Cleaners! Vacuum!

And I'll join you all again in about 10 minutes! :)

Hey do any of you make Easter Candy?
I do.
Make peanut butter eggs, cream eggs, and coconut eggs.
Also choc. suckers.
Grand daughter helps to decorate them with colored choc.
They are better than store bought(not as fattening ha ha)
And I think a little cheaper. At least you know what's in them.

Something to share:

You Were Thinking of Me

When You hung on the cross
You were thingking of me;
You saw my face
As You hung on that tree.
I can't understand it,
And yet I believe-
When You hung of the cross
You were thinking of me.
When You died on the cross
You were dying for me;
You paid sin's price So that I could go free.
I don't understand it,And yet I believe-
When You died on the cross
You were dying for me.

It is true I LOVE jelly beans.:D I even bought myself some for easter. lol.

It takes me a lot longer than 10 minutes to hoover and dust that is why I LOVE the poem.

Good news about my doggie, the cells they tested from the mass in her leg are consistent with a lipoma which is a benign fatty tumour so sthere is nothing much to do or worry about. We are so happy, she is such a good old dog. Jan:clap:

ON a more serious note. The poem from Bonnie reminded me of a song written by my friend Betty McDaniel who passed away in June 2003 in Knoxville Tenessee while on tour of a brain aneurysm. I think I mentioned she wrote songs based on the book by Bodie Thoene called Songs of the Zion Chronicles as well as many other Christian songs. I think this is my favourite one it has a very simple lovely melody and simple lyrics but I find it oh so profound!

He looked across the years and saw me from the cross.
He saw my guilt/grief and my shame.
And I believe He took it all upon Himself,
He made my soul alive again.
And my heart's been made new just like a baby,
innocent and clean before God.
He came in innocence and died for all the World, and I'm one reason why that had to be.
He looked across the years and died for ME.
(Repeat using alternate word in line two)
