took great Spring none of could post for a little bit but all seems to be going great now. How are you?
Caught up on some sleep last few days while fighting off an big ole allergy attack...the allergy season is in full swing...there is green dust all over the things outside.

I hear of colds and sore toes....hope thats all better now??????

Wow the board really went down the tubes didn't it? I see a lot of folks had bigger complaints than I.

I was not up to posting much anyway but like to went nuts from turning on the TV so I got out my collection of oldie music and worked on turning them into MP3 files and saving them to an external hard drive. I made a good start but have a long way to go. Wow it was fun.

COULD I HAVE THIS DANCE
BY: ANN MURRAY

Vocalist: Springrain

I'll always remember the song they were playin'
The first time we danced and I knew
As we swayed to the music and held to each other
I fell in love with you

CHORUS
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life
Would you be my partner every night
When we're together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life

I'll always remember that magic moment
When I held you close to me
As we moved together, I knew forever
You're all I'll ever need.

CHORUS
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life
Would you be my partner every night
When we're together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life

Wow that is one of my favourite Anne Murray songs. I often try to sing her songs if I do Karaoke. Not often these days though. Jim I remember Jim Reeves and I loved his stuff, I think I have a cassette of some of his songs but no CD's. David Whitfield also a blank for me is he from Canada? BTW it is wonderfully sunny here today a little breezy but was actually able to "sun tan" on my upper deck just off my bedroom today. A bit breezy at times but still lovely. Just what I needed. Jan

They were both English singers of yore..I think David Whitfield came to America a couple of times.

Jim Reeves was also a brilliant singer. He was a twice-born believer also. He died at a young age too....

Now, I have an interesting connection to Anne Murray. I was in the Maritimes when she got her break at singing on radio n Halifax. At the time, I knew her parents and met her several times when she was teaching Phys-ed in Prince Edward Island.

They are a lovely family, but I never got any favours when she became famous,,,lol.

Cheers,

Jim

Nice Jim, I haven't met anyone really famous myself, I remember when Anne Murray first started out on Don Messers Jubilee. I knew she had been a PE teacher. Tommy Hunter also got his start there. His show later on CBC was my oldest son's favourite when he was small. I think it was because it was Friday night and we let him stay up late to watch it. Jim do you remember Juliette? She had a variety show too on CBC. I loved her and as I was young I also loved Cross Canada Hit Parade. Oh yeah I did get to meet Bobby Curtola in person but no one from the States will remember him. He was popular the same time as all the U.S. Bobbys' such as Vinton, Vee and Rydell. I am sure there were more. lol.

"Our pet, Juliette....." She was on the telly after the hockey game in the 50's. Her husband was the band leader, but I forget his name just now.

Tommy Hunter was a great Baptist Lad from the London, Ontario area. He had more big names on his show and wanting to be on his show. Johnny Cash and his wife announced their wedding on the Tommy Hunter Show and went to London and got married..

Memories.........that was a song too..lol

Cheers,

Jim
