Hey gg, my "engine light" came on today also.Mines a 2000 Ply. Breeze. Last time it did this I had it put on the computer and said some little sensor was dirty,they cleaned it or replaced it and it was fine. Sometimes the light will come on even is your gas lid isn't on right. Doesn't take much for it to come on. Look on the net about it there's a lot of info even us women can understand.

Yes don't I know it. My husband thinks it may have something to do with the electrical engine timing as it seems to misfire and the car lurches like it is not hitting on all 6 cylinders. I sure hope it isn't anything expensive cause our insurance is due this week too and it will be over 1200 dollars. Anyway congrats to you kids Bonnie don't worry about bragging we (at least I) don't mind. Jan

Good morning. It is a bright sunny day here, but still quite cool.

I don't have much to offer. This is the thread for general discussion, but I found people expressing generalities in some of the more private threads, hence some of us miss out because we don't visit those other threads. It makes this place seem redundant.

Hey I don't know if any of you were praying but got the van back and it was only $28 bucks for new spark plugs. Everything else they had to do with the timer etc was under waranty. Hallelujah. We also had to buy an new clothes dryer. The old one was making horredous noise and Hubby tried to fix the it again yesterday again. He is pretty handy but even he realized that it was now beyond hope. We had priced them out on the net at over $420 for the cheapest before tax but ended up getting one with tax included for about $360 so wow I am happy. And I don't get it till Friday so don't have to do laundry till then. lol gg

Oh yeah and car insurance isn't due till next month either.

Hi Grace, I guess not having the car insurance payment due until next month is a help. We make a monthly payment in our bank account so that when bulk payments come due we have it there waiting. We do the same with oil and propane gas annual fees.

All the best to you. I see it is raining again in BC, but at least not the torrents you have been experiencing. We have a little rain here, but not so much.......but no snow, which is frightening.

Some weather expert is saying that the whole winter will be like this here,,it was up to 6cel to-day. Almost spring like.

Well it is pretty torrential at times here on the North Shore of Vancouver area as we are smack dab against the mountains. But we did have a nice window of dry weather today for about 5 hours. You know I have though about doing to payment options for insurance but just never got around to it. Usually it is hubby who handles all that stuff. gg

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I'm sorry that it's been awhile. The kids were on school break for the holiday's and trying to get computer time is hard.
They are all back at school now. And I can sit back with a cup of coffee and check in on all of you.

I hope your Christmas was wonderful. We had a wonderful time with the family here. We were having so much fun that we didn't take alot of pictures this year.

My grandson loved grandpa's train and the christmas village.

The weather here in NJ is very strange. It is so very warm. Some of my plants are starting to show signs of green. I am worried that when we do get cold weather it will kill them. We might hit the 60's on Saturday. No sign of snow or frost anytime soon.

Yes I was assuming you would be busy with all the family stuff. I work in the high school nearest me and don't start back till Monday. We didn't get out till just before Christmas though. How long do students get where you live for a Holiday Break? Sounds like you had a good time there.
I think people are finding that it is warmer than normal in lots of areas of Canada too. We did have the big snowfall here in November which is unusual but now it is warm and rainy. They are finding that the east coast of Canada is also unseasonably warm. Of course there are lots of doomsday folk reading all kinds of dire things into it but I think it is just a blip and you are right, we will get the normal winter weather back soon enough. I say enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.gg

Can you believe it in New York City is was 70 and our capital area it was 72!!! Here in Westen NY I haven't had my heat on all day! It did rain all day though! Ski areas are starting to get a little worried not even cold enough to make snow. This is all ok with me

If you can remember the year of the great ice storm, it was mild like this for a few weeks and then came the ice storm which took electric power out throughout Ontario, Quebec, New York and other areas. Many lost power for over a week. We had ice dragging our power lines almost to the ground..............hope not again!

Well we lost our power again last nite and it didn't come on till dinner time today. WE had snow wind and a power pole just outside of my house was bent double by a falling tree. Pretty spectacular flash about 30 seconds after our power went out. WE have a white Christmas(It is Ukranian Christmas Eve and Epiphany tomorrow the celebration of the visitation by the wise men.)gg
Edit sorry Jan 6th is Epiphany. Not sure what Ukranians call Jan 7th. gg
