Haven't posted for a couple of days. Yesterday I had the priviledge of doing a training shift with a young girl who has CP and needs support to be out in the community. I had met with her Mom and her before Christmas but this was the first time we had gotten together due to holidays etc. So I went with her reagular worker and we had a glorious outdoor walk in the bright sunshine on the sea walk then went shopping in the mall when it got too cold. I am hoping to be available to work with her as relief staff in the event her regurlar staff is ill or unavailable so it wont be alot but I needed to get up to speed on her harnassing system in the WChair van etc. I had a wonderful time and got some exercise to boot. Today of course was Church and of course my Sunday afternoon nap(that is sacred lol). I hope all is well with you and Jim that the snow is a delight not a trial. Now I'm in the right place put this in the pics thread, so confusing on this forum.
Anyway first time I couldn't see Mom(birthday) but my sister and GK around. Woke up to ice then sleet and freezing rain, and more ice. It's now on the trees but no lines down(yet) car has double coating of ice on it. Pray this is all the worse it's going to get.

Thanks Bonnie that is a very nice thing to say. I hope and think I can do a great job. I won't get much time with her to start with but God always brings me enough to do. She seems to have a very nice family and I hit it off with her Mom right away. I hope your storm hasn't got any worse. Ice can be so treacherous. Stay warm and cozy. good morning, friends! It is a bad storm outside, and it is howling out there. It is nice and cozy inside, I have just had a Gingerbread latte, and I have lit more than a handful of candles. I got up early and boiled water and filled a large thermo bottle, just in case we lose power in this weather. Have a blessed day, all!

Surprise! Surprise! The weathrman kept his word and we have 6 inches of snow and climbing, with strong winds to boot. He now says we will get freezing rain this afternoon and the thermostat dropping to -30..........And away we go into winter!

Not sure if this is the best place topost this but it gave me a chuckle and thought I would share it.(I am not quite that forgettful but I have my moments lol)
An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly."

Thanks! I was blowing snow all day and will have another go at it tomorrow. I can only walk about 20 steps at a time and then I must stop for a few moments......so, that 1/4 mile lane takes me most of the day..at least enough to drive in and out...Tomorrow I'll just clean it all up.

I haven't been on throughout the day and see I dodn't miss much,,lol.....Some days it's good that the board is quiet.

Well yes the weather man seems to be right in this part of the world also. The freezing junk has thawed during the day, but now that it is night the roads are a sleet of ice and now it is snowing. Shouldn't really complain because this is the first taste of winter, not like Jim who will not see green grass until June or July!! Kids of course are hoping for SNOW DAY!!! A couple of schools in the city are already closed. So will seeee-----
Don't mind the snow but the ice under it is something else.
Hey Dave pics are good but who or what was that big furry think in the middle of them?? nice pics.
