Our move to the retirement community might be getting closer than we thought. We signed papers yesterday, and God appears to be working things out for us. We'll have to sell or donate many things that simply won't fit in the new place (i.e. furniture, books, and items we don't really need). It's going to be a lot of work, and we'll be happy to finish the move. It's really quite an adventure, and there are still quite a few unknowns.

Towards the end of the month David and I were at a doctors' conference. Unfortunately I was too late booking for the trips they organised for 'accompanying persons', so missed out on those. However, I put the time in around the venue just fine and David was finished reasonably early each day. One of the days we took two Indian doctors to visit the famous Giants' Causeway, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

On Wednesday our daughter had an appointment for a procedure to deal with her pharyngeal web, but had a phone call to say it had to be cancelled as the consultant had another appointment which couldn't be changed. We eventually got the appointment changed to a date in August, but it involved a lot of hanging around listening to music on a loop - not fun.

This evening three of us are going out for a meal with the people from the church home group that our youngest and I go to. The leader of the group and his wife are hosting the meal at their house and we will also be playing some fun games. David goes to a different home group and they had a barbecue last Friday night, which I went along to with David. Incidentally, church home groups are not home/house churches, just groups from our church who meet for Bible study and prayer about twice a month.

My laptop is playing highlight and delete without me noticing, so I'm going to finish here and stop it in its tracks. Besides, my lovely mug of green and pomegranate tea is almost finished.

We just got back from our family gathering. The weather cooled off, so it was great for the kids outside. It was overcast, and we thought that it would rain any minute, but it waited until we started driving home. The kids had a ball, and we had a pretty nice fireworks display. There were sparklers and small stuff for the kids. We had grilled hamburgers and hotdogs with a variety of extras. It really couldn't have been nicer. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!

We're trying to make some improvements to our home and get it ready to sell. The exterior is now clean, caulked, and painted - looks really nice. The man who did it was very reasonable on his prices. I hope we do as well on the rest that has to be done on the inside.

I have an ultrasound booked for the third week of this month on my hernia 'hangout'
and another ultrasound scan booked for the end of the month
for my 'annual' heart-check and ECG EXAMs


Worst, experience so-far.....
Is that the monthly premium for my car insurance ~leaves me, with so-little to manage-on, for, THAT 'week'
(was last-week) This week, The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office, also withdrew
the twice-yearly Car-Tax payment [a scheduled 'standing-order' ] that I did not see coming [£96.oo / $150.oo]
not until the store told me ~that my card was 'declined' .....
I had no idea of how 'without funds' I was, GOING-TO-BE ....this-week also
