Good morning all. It has been very cold, even going below freezing at some points, in this particular neck of the woods, but we have had hardly any snow, apart from one day last week. The children were praying for it and the oldies prayed no more would come. I like to look at the snow, but don't like driving in it or walking the dog in it - she gets too giddy.

Good morning all. We're having very mild weather here for the time of year - 7 degrees Celsius/48 Fahrenheit - and I can see blue sky outside.

Just finished breakfast - lots to do today, so better get on with it.

Ha ha...We had 2 cats and they were very possessive...the black cat adopted me and the beautiful Burman adopted my husband.

Not sure I am exactly new. I may have popped in after I turned 50 but I'm not sure I want to surf the thread to find out.

There doesn't seem to be a place that says "I feel like 80, act like 40, but I am just about 60". Yeah, I would fit there.
I considered an online dating site but figured it was really just new friends I was in need of. Not that I haven't got lots of friends. I have many interests.

grandchildren (with a new one on the way)
novel writing (maybe I should consider having one publish formally soon)
day job (just started in November)
Children's ministries (AWANA)
Women's ministries (I write and deliver the devotion once a month)
Karaoke (at a family restaurant)
Axe throwing (waiting for the weather to warm up so I can practice)

I'm sure there is more but they don't warrant an offical title.

You sound like a very busy person. I think that you will like Golden Eagles. We have a great group of people here and we rarely have any trouble. This is a good place to be friends.

I have a day off work and had lovely plans to just relax, maybe putter around with a bit of extra cleaning. Well, my daughter also has the day off work. To her that means "Garbage Run" or shopping.
She can't shop because her wallet was lost last week. Spent a whole day looking and found it at her friend's house.
Since she doesn't drive, I have to clean out my van of things I don't want dirty, lay out a tarp, and then load up my van with whatever she wants to get rid of. I am going to push for cleaning up the front yard. Then I should have her help me load the lawn mower so we can take it in for servicing.

No matter what, I am going to karaoke tonight. Might get 3 songs in, so "The Cowboy Rides Away" George Strait, "Send A Message To My Heart" Dwight Yoakum, and then maybe a Marty Robbins song.
