CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Good morning all. Life is busy, busy, busy here, especially since our Siberian Husky came to live with us. This morning hubby and I were out at church. Our son will join us this evening - he alternates between morning and evening services. In between times there'll be a Sunday dinner to cook, dishes to wash and laundry to be done.

It is 2:30 in the morning and I am wide awake. The wind is blowing a lot outside and I think it woke me. Or maybe it was just a bad dream that woke me. Anyway, I bought a bathing suit today and I hope to go swimming in the next few days for the first time in years! There is a pool about a dozen miles from here and then there is one that is open every summer that is just around the block from here. I remember fond memories of swimming when I was a kid, so this should fun.
