oooooh lookee at what revelations have just now
fallen-out of the Grenfell Tower Blaze

First revealed, was, that the Tower had been decoratively-clad ~to 'sweeten the view'
~for some nearby Luxury Flats
or, in other words
the Tower 'brought down' the view[tone] of the area, from those "Luxury Flats" nearby

next, to be revealed, was that the Tower, was occupied, by some 400 to 600 persons
(mostly immigrants) @ rents of [£2,000 per month] paid 'by benefits' ~to, the council

The money go-around, (?)
so, what the government pays-out (from the Public Purse)
the government rakes back-in, via the rents for those flats
&
one supposes, that the similar windfall, will also be the result
of Council Tax benefits ~paid to residents (from the Public Purse)
and again collected, by the council (government)

We can take it for-granted, that the council won't be paying any Income Tax
on the rent collections.... hereinafter called "REVENUE"

Hubby and I were on a day trip yesterday with some of the people who come to our senior citizens lunch club at church. A great day enjoyed by all.

I wonder why, they might want memories to fade

It would appear that the majority of residents
of that building were immigrants
Apparently, a resident mentioned that a
another resident had banged on his door and told him his fridge had exploded
Now, without jumping to the conclusion that a bomb factory had suffered
a meltdown... I do wonder, why the fire was not contained within that one apartment..
But it is not at all surprising to see the fire leave that apartment via the UPVC windows and proceed to enter other apartments via UPVC windows that had been recently fitted, using the chimney effect of the air gap, between the recently fitted cladding and the building walls
As has already been mentioned, no fire hoses /extinguishers on any floor and no sprinklers, to inhibit spread of flame and fumes... et-voila. a nightmare

We have therefore a government owned and controlled housing project
recently 'cosmetically upgraded / improved' by government funded contractors
The CEO of which, had no knowledge of the suitability of the materials that were employed upon the building
Add the single central staircase (another chimney) and residents that were unable to negotiate those stairs... There will be those that will find no hiding-place, if the results of investigations are truthfully reported

because it would further 'damage' the minority government
