Wow, a guy that knits and crochets!
Good for your mum teaching you!
Have you taught anyone yourself?

Gillian

I did TRY to start the children off, Gillian Sis'

I have also demonstrated 'how-to'
create stitches according to a pattern, to a neighbour
having problems with knitting TBL and then PSSO and K2tog, in a cable pattern

While at Ceramics class recently,
a fellow attendee, reported having trouble while crochetting a shawl/blanket for a new baby
ie: she was SEWING 'squares' together and creating chunky bars in a criss-cross [on the reverse]
I showed her 'how-to' crochet them [together] flat, with a simple chain loop-stitch

I rarely pick up a crochet hook these days and it's been years since I last knitted anything

Main thing is, I CAN, should 'a need' ever arise

I received a note from my doctor this morning
Apparently, my 'second' blood test, has confirmed to Doc's,
that they need to consult with me ~at the next possible appointment

Now, if this method of notification doesn't rate; as a 'cliffhanger', it comes pretty-close ?

Surely a call on the telephone would have been more comfortably received

Oh well.... "there is a time for everything"
 Thy will be done Lord :amen:

Thank you Gail Sis'

The letter, also contains a note, that says:
"receptionists are unable to answer queries, with regard to clinical results
and doctors need to be consulted, by the patient"

The appointment is more than a week from today [non urgent]
and so, I must await, that visit with the doctor [to gain insight]

I would have thought, that if, remedial action needs to be implemented
then, the sooner it is 'put into effect' the better for the patient
and also the health services ~in the long run [?]
Strange, how people can be!!!

I am sorry Dave...what a system...we most likely will be facing the same problems here...my friend phyllis already is with her provider. The seniors are expendable now...just like the unborn.

You are already in my prayers Brother Dave, and you will continue to be in my prayers every day. May God give you patience and encouragement during this difficult time. I don't like waiting either, and we've had similar problems with my wife's condition and her doctors.

I am not taking this 'personally' Shirley Sis'
"When the Lord is with me, who, can be against me"

I thought [last-night]
that I should phone the Specialist Heart Team at the hospital
[as I was instructed; should I have any concerns or, 'symptoms' ]
~to acquaint them, with my recent experiences
and request them to open their access to my 'case documents'
and explain to me, why, such a delayed visit to my doctor, should be, 'in my best interests'

But now, I feel like, I should have more faith in Him
and much less faith in our health services to keep me healthy

Sorry to hear re: Phyllis's experience
[depending on what you are considering, Life, isn't fair, or easy]
But it is the 'way' we have been given to travel
Sometimes, school had some very hard lessons [I recall ]

Thank you Brother Tom

Wherever this path of mine, takes me
I will get there, 'one step at a time'
and, be sure to, enjoy the views as I go
Let us  that His purpose is well served in us
and, that by His grace, we are able to fulfill His will for us
:amen:

Praying for your peace, health, and blessing
~ may the Lord's perfect will and timing be done :hug:

God bless you Speckle Sis'
My life has been in His hands for many years now
~every day, that welcomes me, is a blessing for which I AM grateful
While my head can imagine 'all-sorts', my heart says... "Do not fear"

Thank you for your prayers  Praise Him

 Speckle Sis' :)

At the invitation of local police and local council PR official
I have become our area's 'Neighbourhood Watch' Coordinator

An unpaid 'position', to the benefit of the local community
I will need to attend a couple of joint functions [later this month]
to learn 'procedural responsibilities'
I am now referred-to, as, the Sheriff and my Deputy lives in the next street :D

First, I want to wish everyone a great 4th of July. Please use care with the fireworks.

The exercise program is going great, but progress is slow. I have managed to continue losing weight, 3 to 4 inches in my waist, and 1 lower shirt size. I'm trying, but I don't think I will reach the weight loss goal my doctor set for me by my next appointment. I'm not losing weight as fast as I was for some reason. Um? - I like potatoes too much. Oh well, I don't think that the doctor can whip me. :D

We should love ourselves too [I keep reading that, 'everywhere]

I love potatoes as well.... and generally
I usually make two potatoes look-like, many
by chopping them up a-little, before cooking ;) it works

Persistency pay's-off, so, keep on keeping-on Bro' Tom
You will get to where you are trying to be

Hi guys. Congratulations on your new role in the community, Dave. I'm sure you'll manage it very well.

Tom, there's nothing wrong with potatoes so long as they're cooked healthily, eg. baked or boiled.

Andrea is home for a while, recuperating from her surgery which happened last Tuesday.

Busy day today - ready to put my feet up!

God bless all.
