No, it is not 'new' Shirley Sis'
I purchased it, back, in 2006, out of monies I could 'spare'
from what remained, of my share, of the house sale
It was good, for 18 months plus, when, after a kerfuffle on another forums site [not christian]
it was inundated with spam, porn and malware
and I struggled [back then] to keep it cleaned-up and active
Eventually, though, it succumbed to the onslaught
and I was forced to give up and put it away [until, I could afford to have Dell 'reboot it' for me]
Having replaced it with another, I found, that email addys [used at the site]
continued to receive huge amounts of junk, even, three years later
and opened alternative addy's to leave those redundant
Well since [back then] my knowledge of computers has increased multifold
and I appear to have been given
'the patience of Job'
The DVD ROM and the DVD /CD RW are not properly installed [no drivers installed]
and it is presently, running with net.framework service pack 1a
still-needing both net.framework SP2 and also net.framework SP3,
to allow the computer to receive updates from Microsoft
I have those on Flash drive... awaiting installation

raise:
~ one step at a time ?
We got some rain too...but it most likely was not measurable...
just a short shower....the drought continues for us.
Good news for your health....
May your needs always be met

I too, agree re: Tom's health
We are planning to eat lunch at our new chinese place tomorrow...
sort of an early Mother's Day party for 2.
Otherwise the weekend will be quiet.

Mary, having spent a few hour's at her daughter's house, [yesterday afternoon/ evening]
had been 'fed' there, leaving me, to enjoy a chicken curry and chips
from our local chinese takeaway
~it filled an empty space, but, I won't be going there again!
I am afraid that their standards have dropped [quite a bit]
I very much prefer my own curries, after yesterday's shambles
Hi, Gail.
Sounds like you're making many improvements in your home.
I know you will enjoy them.
It's good that you and hubby can do them yourselves; it saves lots of money.
Happy Mother's Day.
Hi Marsha
Yes, it bolsters one's moral [immensely] to be able, to do such things, one's-self
The satisfaction, for any job that is well done [even, adequately] adds to the financial savings,
of say; contracting the work out, to others, ie: is considerable
Enjoy

Thanks Marsha
We are fortunate to be able to freshen up the house ourselves...
and it does feel great (PTL)
Happy Mother's day to you
Hi Gail Sis'
Your 'pleasure' is plainly apparent and, I know HOW 'that' feels
