We are planning to eat lunch at our new chinese place tomorrow...sort of an early Mother's Day party for 2.

Otherwise the weekend will be quiet.:wave::wave:
Mine will be fairly quiet as well ~
Daughter will be 'child free', so she made plans with her new love; but she called, and sent me a card. :)
My son will visit with me tomorrow, and we will send out for some yummy fried chicken for supper.
Last night after getting paint supplies, Hubby took me out for a lazy lobster dinner :yum:
The healthy 'diet' starts again Monday :p :holy:

It was delish, but so high in sodium; I got a headache from fluid retention, and had to take my diuretic

We could use new cabinets; ours were cheapies put in by the contractor (we bought the house newly built 28 years ago).
Being on a limited budget, we are just doing basic maintenance for now.

Hooray and all praise to God for your rain Bro' Tom
Have you been given Statins ?

Yes, I've taken Lipitor for years. The ironic thing is that my cholesterol levels would be great for a person who is not a heart patient. Lots of things changed after my heart trouble and getting stents. I'll just do what the doctor says with diet and hope they don't have to increase the dosage of the Lipitor.

My wife and I will be taking my mother out to eat for Mother's Day. She's 92 years old and in almost perfect health. We give thanks for her.

Mary [here] was taking Simvastatin 40mg for years before I arrived here
and I was then, also given them ~at that dose
Seeing a new doctor [one day. a couple of months ago] the new doctor
queried her prescription [saying, she shouldn't be taking those] and prescribed her
some Lipitor, at 10mg
But those, made Mary feel bloated and gave her flatulence, so she returned to the doctor
only, to be re-prescribed Simvastatin @ 20mg [daily] The mind boggles

I always trim away excess fat prior to cooking, and do not use meat stock in my gravy
I have also, given-up 'pork pies' ~ to give the pills 'a helping hand'

:D

Our house was "used"...and not built well to begin with, we have done tons of upgrades and new things...I do love where I live tho and the floor plan of this house is very comfy....we kept horses here too...the neighborhood is very nice.

I ate some new things at lunch...the spices...not too hot did give me gas....:D

I will eat plain and simple for dinner.

We made unexpected plans to go see an old friend tomorrow...go out to lunch with him and his mom. He and Larry have been work fellows for years...he is a recent widower.

Drs. are weird...I was told I had pneumonia in Feb....treated for it...one dr said it was mild...one dr said, I never had it, it was something else, one dr said it was bad...go figure....I got well...no matter what they said...PTL!

^_^ LOL about lunch....that 'issue' is definitely age related : :sorry:

I planned to eat plain all day, but then hubby insisted we go out to eat after Church  It was good though :yum:

Tomorrow we are getting fried chicken when my son visits; I won't even bother checking the scale on Monday :D

LOL Gail Sis'
I tried to look up "friend chicken" expecting to find a recipe
:swoon: I felt so-foolish...

I had a good chuckle at-myself afterwards

Fried chicken is a 'friend', just so long as it is well-drained
