Hello, Bros. Dave and Tom.

Gail, our forecast sounds much the same, except weather arrives a day earlier here in southwestern Ohio. Our snow should be all melted by Saturday.

My hair began thinning when I was about forty years old. I have a wig, but it's not comfortable. I have oodles of cousins who all have hair. My dermatologist still says it's genetic and I'm the "lucky" one. Rogaine helps ever so slightly. The generic for men is what she said to use because it's cheaper and works as well. The top is very thin as is patches on the sides.

My glasses won't be ready until tomorrow evening. Tim said I look like an old lady from the 60s in these glasses. I doubt I go anywhere tomorrow, that being said. lol
My mother used to have a hair piece that clipped on; maybe that would be an option for you
She got it at a wig place and they matched her color and hair courseness.

LOL we had it good in the 60's and many styles are back....so wear those specs proudly:D
Hello Sister Marsha,

Don't let the joking get to you. My kids like to joke about my clothes, my shoes, and my white mustache. The truth is that I'll wear what's comfortable for me and not worry about it. :D I could use Grecian formula on the mustache, but the kids would then joke around about me coloring my hair. I just laugh with them. I also wear glasses, but I have a pretty good spare set that isn't too far off of my prescription. I wear the unfashionable large lenses because that's what I like.

Have a great week.
 I am for comfort...and being yourself ~ 'naturally'!
Hello back at you Sister Gail,

We were up later than normal tonight and our little Hank called it a day about two hours ago. I had to scoop him up and carry him to bed. The things we do for our little 4-legged friends. ;)
^_^ They are so cute!
Our Penny knows time, I swear!
Each night at 9:45 pm she will lie down and stare at Jim until he says "welllll.....I guess it is time for the news" (at 10 pm).
Then off she goes, running in circles around the coffee table with a toy in her mouth, until we pick up all her toys and give her a bone to chew.
They are such a neat breed; you've got to love them
Oodles of hugs to you dear brother Dave and best wishes for this new year! God only knows how grateful I am that 2012 is gone forever!
It started with Alan's heart attack, followed by Juilette's diabetes.

I had to deal with numerous new responsibilites all at once and alas, I collapsed :(

Not too sure if I'm posting correctly as I am still into the rum and coke... the Lord seems to understand but wishes more for me at this time... Once again, thank you for being there for me. Not everyone understands the loss of a pet. I am utterly grateful for this forum! :groupray:
Life tends to go in cycles like that, and thankfully it does end, because it can be brutal when it hits :o

Praise God for His loving mercy on us; He gives us sufficient light and grace to endure, and after the trial we are stronger in body, mind, and spirit
He always works it for the good of His beloved.

Keep the faith Yvie

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all having a great week. I was just thinking that we are all recipients of God's Love, Grace, and Mercy - so we must be doing pretty good.

Before I forget - HAPPY BIRTHDAY YVIE!

Thank you Tom and to all those who posted so kindly. I am grateful to all those who are praying. I am still on sick leave (since April) so I offered to do some memorials at the Rainbow Bridge website. They just posted my first batch and it felt really good. People are very appreciative and I can certainly relate to their pain.

That is such a neat website!

Son stayed for a couple of days, so I got a chance to play with his cat, she is so precious!

So far, I've walked a mile everyday this week during my lunch break. Feels good mentally, my body on the other
hand is having to get used to this again. I am trying not to be impatient, but, I can't help at remember when I was
walking 3 miles a day. Oh well, I am still pretty active. I so soooooooooo looking forward to warmer temps!

Good Morning everyone...

I have a meeting with my boss, a co-worker and her boss today. This co-worker placed a complaint about me b/c I asked a client to meet with me directly about a case I manage and am responsible for. She complains that I wear walking shoes instead of professional shoes, complained about the way I hand her my time report, complained about the way I ask her to mail stuff for me. Complained that I use "her" shredder. She is the office secretary. I am at a loss over this. I am being accused of "subtle sarcasm" to intentionally irritate her.

I am a loss and feel like someone just want to get rid of me. My boss told me yesterday that at least if I get fired, I can probably find another job fairly easy and co-worker cannot. I am told him I am looking to get fired.

Please pray for me.

Ohhhhhhhhhh WHAT A DAY it has been

I attended the 'arranged' hospital appointment, this afternoon
while fully expecting a meet-up with my consultant, to discuss my future
~following the results of the recent MRI Scan of my heart

At the reception desk... my appointment letter was denounced as "sent in error"
~that 'in fact' a further heart-failure nurse appointment had been rescheduled [instead]
So, following a twenty minute drive and WASTING £2 at the car-park
I was told to attend my local health centre, where, my nurse would be waiting to see me

I called in at the shopping precinct and purchased a new fluorescent tube and battenholder [for Joyce]
and went to see the nurse, she listened to my heart and lungs
weighed me and took bloods [Liver/Kidney Function] read Blood Pressure
and, she also gave me a heart-failure card, that I am now
to carry around with me
just so everyone would quickly recognize, that I had such a problem
~in case I couldn't answer back [in times of need]
and given a specific list of symptoms to beware of_
and what action I should take, in the event any of these should arise
ie: from [1.] immediate reduction of drugs[myself]
to [2.] contacting the HF team
for advice_ thru [3.]dialling 999 and getting myself taken to hospital

My 'ramipril' is being up titrated from 3.75 mg to 5 mg [as of tomorrow morning]
and I will receive a new prescription shortly
My beta-blockers [bisoprolol fumerate] will not be up titrated at this time
because I have "a nice and steady heart-rate" :) That! is something-good :D

It is too dark, now to replace Joyce's light fitting with the new one
~Her fluorescent tube has failed
and as they no-longer make tubes for her very old fitting she needed to replace all of it [She is 83 years]
I will get it done tomorrow [Saturday]...
she is very lucky that I am 'able' to do this for her [at 'cost']
A contractor, would charge a call-out /fitting fee [on top of, her cost]

Wishing everyone the very best as-always

Thank you Gail Sis'

I was further told [by 'specialist nurse'] that my screening for Fabry's Disease
was in the pipeline and that I would hear by post when it has been set up
After which, I will again see the consultant Dr Cooper

Yes we see everything coming-together, in His timing [perfectly]

I spoke with Joyce this morning re: the hospital appointment
and told her that if I didn't call before Tea-time [today]
then she could expect me to call Saturday morning

LOL....

It wasn't quite so straightforward....

Mary and I were sat in the waiting room for twenty minutes
while the receptionist 'raced around' [:p:] sorting my affairs

The Health Centre, is only minutes from our doorstep
and the 'hospital trip' _an entirely superfluous 'unnecessary'

Dear Dave,
I am so sorry that you had to go through this. It's hard to believe that you would have to wait 20 minutes for a severe LVSD. What's with these medical people anyways? I am praying that wasn't too much damage to your wonderfully huge heart as we so need it here at the Golden Eagles. We'll sue them for every penny I swear ;) Rest up big boy and be back soon! All my love, Yvie

The journey to the hospital is 20 minutes by car [and 20 minutes RETURN]
and 1 hour and 15 minutes to_ 1 hour 30 minutes, by bus [each way]

Our disappointment revolved around, 'their error'
~meaning: that had we not had the car, we would not have been able
to get back to the local health centre, in time to see the specialist nurse
ergo: making, the up titration of Ramipril meds DELAYED, until a fresh appointment was secured

Anyway, what is done ~is done and already 'yesterday'
and 'no harm' was done ;)

I AM 'STILL HERE' and, when I have an OWN PC again
will be here much-more, than of late

\o/

Joyce's light-fitting took me just 15 minutes or so, to replace with a new one
and she showed me a BIG SMILE and thanked me profusely
[sufficient reward ;)]

Now, for some lunch

Cool! Try photoshop as well...it is not that complicated
and proves to have much more control over your pics. :)

'Photoshop' costs money

Paint.NET is FREE
and includes many of the tools that photoshop boasts
I have on-occasion, named it the poor-man's photoshop

LOL

We do, what we can ~with what we have
and from wherever we are
