Happy Thursday everyone. I will be praying for those who aren't feeling well.

Thanks you guys...I did go out to a grocery store...a small specialty one that is very popular out here...Trader Joe's...great selection and prices. Thought I would do more, but that was enough...this bug just sort of lingers...yuck.

We have bought things from them before that is neat you have one close by you!
Those bugs do take time to work their way through your system...no fun!
We got all our errands done the past 2 days; tomorrow we can just hang around.
This weekend we will help our daughter for a bit (moving to a new apartment).

I see The TJ's all along the road in California...are they national? They are very popular out here.

The wind is howing at the window again, even tho the days have been mild. I am going down for the night soon...had a better day, now I am tired out.

Are you enjoying new jeans? A whole size is a big change...I would be tooooo thin if I lost a size in my clothes, did that years ago, went down to size 8 and looked like a stick...that was I wear a 12 now and it is loose on me.

I'd like to get into an 8 but that would be it; after my adrenal illness I was too thin and felt lousy!
I found a few tops on sale too, so I am all set for now.
In the summer I must replace some OLD broom skirts, otherwise I will cinching the waist on them with safety pins
I am an casual country gal and not into clothes...I wear jeans all the time and only dress for Church (nice slacks or a skirt when it is hot out)

which was followed by, a buffet reception at a 'posh' Leisure Club [out of town]

Shirley is well, and is being surrounded, by family
She was reminded, before we came home, that she should call us
if she has need [ at 'any time']

Now to get back to, household matters

I pretty much live in jeans year round...hmmm....shorts in summer heat. And Birkenstocks...I could not walk without those shoes, not very glamorous but functional.

O, Tracders has a lovely site....we use the Redlands, Ca store. That is our local one, but as we travel to Eric's we often stop at them along the way.

I have never tried Birkenstocks; I love Dansko they last for YEARS!
In the end you pay a price for wearing 'cheap' shoes, so it is worth it.
*The skirts are for Church only; I wear shorts in summer too

BTW, it's my birthday on Monday (same as Elvis Presley). We're all going to a Medeival Restaurant tomorrow night (6 of us). I've never been but heard it was fun. We also have a restaurant called "Au Noir" which I am hoping to try some day. It's completely dark and you are served by blind people. Tomorrow, we should be served by pirates instead with a vegetarian choice. Curious and excited to go though still very very sad...over the loss of my beloved Juliette I've got to keep putting one foot in front of the other for now. Thanks for your continued prayers guys!

We helped my daughter move from her apartment to a condo today; I am beat
It didn't help that I slept poorly last night, and had to get there early
When we are were done, we came home to freshen up, then went to Church, where I almost nodded off 3 times

The second wife of my Uncle who died in August, died today, so I expect we will have a wake/funeral sometime later this week.

Tomorrow we will rest, and aside from her service and weekly errands, we will just be getting walks in (clear week of weather) and putting the Christmas decorations away.

Hi everyone!

I just love coming in here and seeing all the funny avatars and reading the uplifting posts!

I had a pretty good week although very scattered it seems like; I worked on Monday, off Tuesday, worked Wednesday, off again on Thursday and then worked on Friday. The up and down literally gave me a pain in the neck! LOL! I had to go to the chiropractor for an adjustment. I plan on having a bit more routine this week. I am hoping to walk at least a mile everyday.

*ETA: I didn't 'rest' today ~ I got my decorations put away, but I keep my snowmen collection out to brighten up the house during the winter.
NOW I am resting
