Hi everyone, hope you are all having a nice Sunday, mine is OK, been depressed, but, all will work out. It all involves a broken relationship that I thought was ideal, and now, nothing, I could go on and on, but, I won't, it makes me cry thinking about all of it.

In New England (on a lake); we have black bears...pretty woodsy and wild here for sure

Then, you must have harsh winters? New England would be great to visit in the fall, I think.

Most winters are cold, snowy, and icy; occasionally they are mild and snowless like last year.
Fall is gorgeous with the colors, crisp temps, and no bugs

I'm sorry you're having a rough day, Susie. Today was somber for me as well. My husband passed away two years ago today. The first year was the roughest. It hurts less now. Still, I miss him.

Our 'little stinker' just came by, but thankfully we moved him along by telling him to go home
The cleanup and cayenne by the grill kept him further away from the house
He is hard to see though...so tiny...yet big enough to be on his own

So hard to believe the kids are back to school this week and Labor day is upon us!
After the long, hot summer this year I am really looking forward to FALL

We got some rain yesterday. It was wonderful and helped a lot of people. We are all giving thanks.

Those who have lost loved ones or suffering with some other sadness will be in my prayers.

Our neighbors yard across the street reeks skunk today; they got the worst of it, it seems.
The odor sifts up to us now and then on the breeze from the lake
We just reinforced the chicken wire around our porch and spread skunk deterrent around the borders of the house and yard.
It worked years ago, and should again this time

I'm one who lives for spring and reasonably hot summers because of more daylight hours and sunshine. Early fall isn't so bad. By early November, I'm ready for spring. I loved fall and winter as a youth; not so much anymore. I have that Seasonal Affective Disorder pretty badly.

My kids (son 31 & daughter 37 with 2 boys) live on their own; we have had an empty nest for some 8+ years now

I love spring and Fall the most; winter and summer when the weather is moderate

Sorry to hear about your SAD; you will be in my prayers!
It is common to most of us if we get housebound in the winter, but some do suffer with it.
