I try to get out a bit every day, &/or read by a sunny window (especially if it is too cold to go out) to avoid the winter blahs

That's a good idea. We have many days when it's overcast and gloomy. My house gets the evening sun mostly with west facing windows. My livingroom faces north. I have a couple windows that have southern exposure. However, that room gets cold, so I generally keep it closed off.

Our neighbors yard across the street reeks skunk today; they got the worst of it, it seems.
The odor sifts up to us now and then on the breeze from the lake
We just reinforced the chicken wire around our porch and spread skunk deterrent around the borders of the house and yard.
It worked years ago, and should again this time

I think those little creatures are so cute...too bad they do what they do...lol.

Do you have kids living at home still?

I'm one who lives for spring and reasonably hot summers because of more daylight hours and sunshine. Early fall isn't so bad. By early November, I'm ready for spring. I loved fall and winter as a youth; not so much anymore. I have that Seasonal Affective Disorder pretty badly.

It is late, but, I am not tired, I met the gentleman that was coming to town from over-seas, and all I can say is wow, he is awesome, such a true gentleman, so humble, and caring, we visited today for 11 hours and it only felt like 1, I took him around to some places in my area, he loved it, all we did was talk and laugh, I am in awe over him, I am sure glad I decided to meet him, I have never been happier.

It is late, but, I am not tired, I met the gentleman that was coming to town from over-seas, and all I can say is wow, he is awesome, such a true gentleman, so humble, and caring, we visited today for 11 hours and it only felt like 1, I took him around to some places in my area, he loved it, all we did was talk and laugh, I am in awe over him, I am sure glad I decided to meet him, I have never been happier.

I spent all afternoon with hubby getting the banking accounts and credit cards in order yesterday...but it is done and we have active debit cards to use...one bank person said her hubby's ssn was stolen 12 years ago and the data base keeps good track of unusual activity...so that number is in the best place possible for this world's system...PTL.

I got very tired tho and had a great deal of emotional pressure...it went away, where ever that is.

Today we go to the DMV...I have an appt to get a replacement liscense...then we will look at TV sets.

I miss you all...will be on when I can.

I can understand your emotional pressure and fatigue; under the circumstances, it is still disturbing ....and tends to create an underlying anxiety as you work through it!
It will lessen as the days pass and you see that you are secure again.

It is really hot again and humid...Gracie and I are just staying quiet in the house...fans are running, it is pretty comfortable. I got grocieries and that is all for me today...I have been trying to sleep on the couch, we get too hot in the bedroom, but I don't think I am resting so well. Fall is almost here.
