I just wanted to drop in and wish everyone a great week. Those who are facing fires, drought, and flooding will be in my prayers.

Thanks Tom...we are all in such different weather events...

sorry i have not been around too much lately. I have been maintaining. the house is probably going to be mine but it will need fixing up.. I am researching and reading and it looks like most of it I am capable of doing myself. :) I think there are a whole lot of people hopeing my loan does not go through. The longer this takes the more I realize what a gift from God this seems to be. My future roommate is in the hospital (heat related I think)... this (today) is the first break from the heat we have had. I could not get my trailer to cool down past 80 degrees (and that was the 5 am temp...) in the afternoon and evening my trailer was 90 degrees.... that was too much for me... so I haven't been here except to sleep. Got to go. but will talk more later....
So good to see you Connie; I understand your busy-ness :)
Praying all goes well with the house and job, and that your roommate recovers from her illness.
That is tough being so hot in your home; please do take care!
God bless you

Tomorrow will be a 'putter' day ~ Penny has her beauty appt so I will be in and out ;)

I'm about to have a period of time where I don't know how much I will be able to do on a computer. I'm having carpel tunnel surgery on my left wrist on the 26th of this month and on the right wrist two weeks later. They've really gotten bad and continually worse recently, so I decided that it was time to get them fixed.

I'm really not expecting anything bad, and I'm thinking that the surgeon gave me worse case examples. He said that I wouldn't have any fun in August of this year. We'll see, but I'm optimistic that I will recover more quickly if there are no complications. I plan to do everything the doctor says, and I'm really looking forward to an end of pain in my hands and wrists. I'll try to keep everyone posted, even if I have to hunt and peck with one hand.

I would appreciate some prayers during this time. My son's wedding is September 1st, and I'd really like to be over everything by then for all of the traveling that must be done. Thanks in advance.

It seems the 'condition' can be relieved without surgery ... albeit for; $150.oo [+P&P]
~It also does both hands /for a couple of minutes each day [?]

My son had that surgery, but he also has other conditions, so there is no objective comparison; but he did heal rather quickly (I forget the time span though).
His orthopedic doc and physical therapist recommended an Ergonomic keyboard to aid in proper positioning, healing, and prevent future damage.
There are many kinds at reasonable prices; perhaps you could mention it to your doc to see what he says, if he hasn't talked about it yet.
Praying all goes well for you Tom, and that you won't be away too long

Thanks for that info Dave.
My husband has a glove he wears on his hand, but this looks better.

If, it is effective, Norah Sis' .... ?
It is quite cheap... when compared with surgery
and no infection-risk [as might be possible post-op]

Older folks, heal 'surface-wounds' much more slowly
and, 'thinning skin', doesn't scar too-well either

 all the information I have, is from that link...
You would be as wise as I could ever be re: it's effectiveness

My skin is certainly thinner and much dryer than in my younger years...it is partly why I cannot seem to get rid of these mites.

We are very hot today, but the painters are doing a wonderful job for us...they really prepped the walls well in the kitchen and I love the color I chose, it is warm, light, cozy for a beige...called "lambskin".

You are always so kind and your words are always so uplifting, I cannot imagine things not going smoothly for you with these operations. I will remember you in my prayers.
Take care

Mary, took our three, [one at a time] out for a walk around the park earlier

It is a great pity that we do not have an enclosed field nearby
where, we could let them OFF the leash to run freely

I used to have such fun [years ago] watching our shepherds
running, and leaping in huge circles [now that, was 'exercise', for them]

Have fun Emmliy
