We are going to eat a late lunch or early dinner out today...then get some groceries...we are quiet here as usual.

It was raining after Church, so we decided to eat dinner out after instead of trying to BBQ.

We are usually quiet too...or at least I AM; hubby always has the TV blaring because he is 1/2 deaf and uses 'surround sound'

I never have the tv or radio on; it is always total silence when I am alone, so I can hear my canary singing and the birds calling to him

My hubby is losing his hearing too.....we had obvious evidence of this when we were last at Eric's.

I keep the tv off a lot as well...he has it on continually when he is at home...even if he sleeps in front of it.

The doc told him years ago he needs a hearing aid, but he always felt it would hinder him in getting a job :o
He misses a lot of what we say, and can't hear birds outside etc; we repeat what we say often
Like your hubby, the tv is on from morning until night ; at least mine mutes it if he gets busy with something

My wife and I went out tonight for dinner for a change and a nice drive afterward in our Wildlife Refuge. Dinner was great, but most of the animals were quite a distance from the road tonight. We did stop at our prairie dog town and saw a large number of babies. They sure are cute. We did manage to see one bull buffalo and two bull elk up close, so we enjoyed that enough to make our trip worthwhile.

Losing the day time quiet was a big adjustment for me this past month with him having no work, but I enjoy having him home, and have found solitude and quiet when needed.
Thankfully he is also easing into quiet time of his own now, with reading, painting and guitar

thanks Shirley, nice to feel wanted. I'm a bit overwhelmed lately. Don't know what to think, much less what to say. lol.... I am on auto pilot... hopefully God has control because I know I feel out of control. .

Yeah, there are some pretty junky shows out there :o
But a few good ones too.... and the Olympics will be starting in July; the trials are being broadcast now

Yeah, we just noticed the trials are on tv; we'll have to tune in.
Defiance is not a nice trait to have in any sport :o

I am heading outside to read; it is a beautiful day! BBL
