I intend to do our's

It is not [just] that I begrudge paying someone-else
to do something that I can do equally as well /better than they
BUT also, because you will have-to accomodate their 'presence'
AND move furniture items, according-to someone else's 'schedule'

With, just a little bit of planning
you could easily decorate each room [in one/two days] ~proceeding; at your own pace

With an extension pole, ceilings, do not need to be climbed-to, in order to paint them
there are painting templates to aid 'cutting-in' between wall and ceiling]

Large wall surfaces, are usually 'rolled', in no time at-all
AFTER painting around the edges with a 3 inch brush

Then ..... You have not-only SAVED yourselves a great deal of cash
But ....... you also have given yourselves, a great deal of personal satisfaction
The reward of your endeavours

I won't 'give-up' .... If I cannot do it .... then, Mary's sons, CAN

to that...if you can do it, or have a loved one to help.
At that time we were both working full time, and had the whole house done ;it had been 20 years and long overdue!
They also polyurethaned the wood and put in new carpets/kitchen flooring.
Thankfully we can do it ourselves, because we have no income currently

We had it done not too long ago and we got skunked now we must do it again (watered down paint??)
It doesn't look like hubby will be back to work full time, so we will tackle it in the Fall a little at a time.

Day 3 of extreme heat and humidity here, so we are staying cool and relaxing

I saw that the humidity was very high in the east...that is miserable weather for sure.

I liked the man who came to discuss painting the inside of the house...he has done work several times for my son, they gave him a good report.

My house is about 2400 sq feet, the ceilings are raw and need to be treated, primed and painted...I don't think I can do that myself...all the rooms need painting, it is a very big job...too big for us now. I am really wanting to pay someone...who is good at this to do the work.

This is true Dave, but I don't like to paint....

I am weak and shaking this morning just from talking to the guy, just from light stress. I am thankful to have someone elses help these days.

Some people do enjoy painting...but I really never have...although I did paint the whole outside of our first house....man I had energy and stamina once.

Some are blessed with lean bodies as they age; some are not.

I am in the latter catagory and am FINALLY at peace with it!
My plan is to eat well, stay active (include walks), and if I am a bit heavier, so be it.
I refuse to be obscessed with a number, or to suffer from a diet!

By getting some exercise daily and eating good food (smaller portions more frequently), I find I feel well and the weight does come off.

A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE (slow and steady) is my plan of action these days, and it is suiting me well in body, mind, and spirit

It took a while for me to get to that mindset ~
I finally came to the acceptance of the 'mature' body I now have, vs my 'ideal' of the youthful body it WAS ..... and stressing to get back to that (which is unrealistic)

For 'sealing' I would use a solution of PVA [Poly-Vinyl Adhesive] @adhesive 1-5 water
allow to dry, between first and second coats [12 am to 6 pm and then 9am to 3pm]

Followed, by oil-based undercoat and then either emulsion or gloss top coats

The road, may look long and tedious.... but 'the arrival' is just, too cool, to miss-out on
