How is your sister handling this? Is she willing to take advice? I agree with Wayne, I'm going to pray she will stop enabling him. It would be great is she would read boundries or watch the videos by Dr. Cloud.

One day, or hour, at a time. She's a little better each day, but I know she's worried about him. She wants him to figure this out, or call his father and move in with him. It's about time he steps up to the plate.

May the Lord bless you, your sister and your mother with peace, strength and grace to take you through this trail.

We saw my Dad for about an hour. He was just sedated and didn't move, but he was peaceful at least. They want to make sure he doesn't get pneumonia. He had a slight fever, but they brought it down. He'll probably be in this state for a few more days until they can be sure about his esophagus not being swollen.

There are just so many complications that can come out of this. Thanks again for all your prayers. God bless!

I am so empty spiritually I am burning metal here! This past month here has been one of the hardest times of my life (in fact short of the death of my son, it is probably the hardest time!) and I know God has plans and I truly cannot wait to hear what He has in store!

I do admire your attitude. You are 100% correct, God does have great things in store for you. When I'm going through a rough time I tend to lose sight of that, so I'm really glad you haven't.

She had a lot of guilt over the divorce, even though it was not her fault.

Dr. Phil says that "parenthood should be a guilt-free zone." He's right. At the same time, I realize it's easier to look at someone else's situation and know what should be done, than to be in that situation and follow the advice.

Definitely praying.

I've never been on MySpace. If you go to www.facebook.com youcan check it out but watch out you'll get addicted!

Its a page that connects people who know each other...high school, work, church, etc. Its not cyber based like forums are. Usually everyone has met at one time or another...I say usually because I have cyber friends on there too

Thanks cristianna... actually, the boys know how to reach their father. But my sister doesn't have his info and isn't comfortable asking the boys for it right now. Although on Friday she was telling me that she's going to ask her son to contact his father and see if he can live with them for a few months. His father hates to part with any money and his wife does not have a good relationship with either of the boys.

I think they are going to take my Dad off the ventilator today. Please pray he will breathe independently and not have to go back on it.
