When you are pointed in the direction of a comprehensive, detailed, properly referenced explanation of something scientific you reject it for a variety of spurious reasons that boil down to "That's way to complicated for me. I can't be bothered to make the necessary effort to understand it"
. When you are offered a simplification of a science concept you complain, as you do here, that the simplifications are not identical. Do you see what your problem is? (Most of us do.)

Exactly! They have a worldview that includes an intransigent book, ergo nothing else should change. It allows them to pick and choose what to believe, which is antithetical to choosing why they should believe something. It's so freeing to be able to accept reality for what it is.
