They are the way to look at things without prejudice, with an open mind, a properly engaged scepticism, a respect for the intricate work of tens of thousands of dedicated scientists, very many of whom are Christians, and a readiness to discard any hypothesis that is contradicted by the evidence. Alternatively you can look at them with a predetermined dogma, a closed mind, an ignorance of the facts and cavalier dismissal of evidence.
There are not many. Most of the "belittling" has to do with belittling a particular interpretation of Genesis.This is very similar to how we feel when you speak of the Bible...

This started me thinking. How did creationist arguments begin? As you have demonstrated, they have not evolved over time, in contrast to life. So, perhaps there was no equivalent to abiogenesis for the first creationist argument. Perhaps it just sprang into being like the spontaneous generation that supposedly produced geese from barnacles and mice from soiled clothing. Arguments, appearing from nowhere, fully formed, yet as ephemeral as a sea mist subject to the warming rays of the sun. And if ones arguments appeared in such a way it would be easy to suppose an analogous origin for, let's say, life. Hmm. Perhaps I should stop thinking.Round and round we go.... the never-ending regurgitation of creationist "arguments".
