  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You want the government to be everyone's parent? :sorry:
tulc(doesn't think that's a good idea)
Yea, I would bet there is a Congressman that would love to be the one to spank rule breakers. EWWW.

A president should not concern himself with dress codes or College playoffs, Those are state and local issues.
If a comunity wants to make showing your drawers illegal, fine, then have the police hand out tickets. I don't like kids wearing 3 sizes to big pants,
but they aren't my kids. (I have to worry about my daughters pants being to tight.)
Which is weird, because guys are always trying to get into girls pants, when its the guys that have the extra room.

lol more crazy opinions by more random people.

Of course people have less and less respect for authority! The ones with all the power and authority are IDIOTS!!!!!!

It is very very intellegent and self-preserving to rebel against authority figures who are perversely bathing in their own abuses of power to the point their values and fundamentals cross the line from civil to outright incredulous.

thank GOD kids these days have the guts courage and moral fortitude to strike back against that which is unjust corrupt, ie, those tightening a leash around the necks of those subject to their power and then getting off on that very power(ie, "You can't dress that way, or say those things")

Of course I disrespect authority when the authority doesn't deserve its power of authority.

Its only right in my eyes. =)

The Word of God tells us to dress modestly. Obama's statement proves even more that he is not interested in godly decisions.

Nothing at all wrong with me.

So what if he isn't interested in Godly decisions? We don't dress in robes anymore either, times and clothing styles change. What right does he have to go "Baggy pants are outlawed, God says so."??

In our nation, thankfully statements like that will get you impeached and strung up on a lightpost. I hate baggy pants, to be honest I hate anything vaguely "gangsta" but I will fight for peoples right to dress like idiots even if I don't like it. And the second you brought god into government, you pretty much lost any real support I had for you despite our common bond of anti-baggy pants.

In the News, Obama supports baggy pants. Says no law against them.

It is sad that America is going more and more downhill quicker and quicker. People have no respect for themselves much less authority any more.

If my boy ever shows up on my doorstep and is wearing baggy pants I will personally tell him to come back when he can dress more modestly. There is nothing modest about having your pants sagging so low that your underwear is showing.

And the so-called President elect is disgusting when he thinks there is nothing wrong with such disgusting dress style.

Sadly, it will only get worse. Because those who want to see what is decent don't matter anymore. America is in for a sad future the next 4 years under a man who does not care what kind of image its citizen's portray.

We will soon look so disgustingly poor that third world countries that have next to nothing will be more appealing than the United States.

Progressive morality.

It's the Slippery Slope Syndrome now.

Ever read Lord of the Flies?

Do you know the mean of the name Beelzebub?

Oh, let 'em wear their baggy pants, it's fun to watch 'em try and run.

Watched a kid try to catch a bus once, I about split my sides.

Treu, so true.

BUT (as in butt),

when they sit down somewhere, the ONLY thing keeping their nether region juices off of where you will be sitting when they get up and leave is a wafer thin boxer.

Now can we pass a law based on science instead of political correctness.

Someone get me a verse about nether-region juices.

"Where there will be weeping and nashing of teeth."

Imagine a woman wearing a white outfit sitting down on the same seat one of these saggers just left. Now imagine her being tapped on the shoulder as she's walking out after a nice "sit-down" dinner.

I'll get you the exact scripture if you need.

Actually, Obama did not say he supports it - he just said he doesn't agree with making laws against fashion. If you read down, further in the article he does state that young men should pull up their pants.

All of those who are being snide about the OP starting this thread - you're being every bit as silly, don't you think? What important matters are you concerning yourselves with as you post in this forum? What world change are you effecting? What are YOU doing about our embattled economy?

I don't know about anyone else on here - but when I read and post in this forum I don't exactly expect to change the world, nor do I expect anyone else to do so. It's just a place to share your opinions.

And, again I don't know about everyone else's lives, but in my own the fact that we have a recession going on and two wars and countless other major problems does not in any way, shape or form change the fact that there are things that I deal with in my everyday life that range from seriously concerning to minorly annoying. And I occasionally kvetch about them, even knowing that there are many people dealing with much bigger problems.

I must sign off now - I have to go engage in mid-level peace talks with warring nations. Really.

I suppose this makes you every bit as silly, since you posted on the thread as well? After all, there are so many more important issues for us to be talking about.

Robes like in Harry Potter?

Isn't there one time where a man wearing a kilt says he dislikes pants because he likes to feel the wind on his privates or something like that?

I ain't going to do it for you.
