In the News, Obama supports baggy pants. Says no law against them.
It is sad that America is going more and more downhill quicker and quicker. People have no respect for themselves much less authority any more.
If my boy ever shows up on my doorstep and is wearing baggy pants I will personally tell him to come back when he can dress more modestly. There is nothing modest about having your pants sagging so low that your underwear is showing.
And the so-called President elect is disgusting when he thinks there is nothing wrong with such disgusting dress style.
Sadly, it will only get worse. Because those who want to see what is decent don't matter anymore. America is in for a sad future the next 4 years under a man who does not care what kind of image its citizen's portray.
We will soon look so disgustingly poor that third world countries that have next to nothing will be more appealing than the United States.
Perhaps the world is getting worse.
When one looks at a boy who has baggy pants, and cannot understand that the origin of that was getting hand me downs because the family was poor, and says, "Come back when you can dress appropriately," we have lost our compassion.
When the world looks at a style of dress, such a baggy pants, and thinks that is the worst of our problems, while thinking nothing of things such as 1.4 million Americans being uninsured, or seeing poverty in a country that has so much that they are often wasteful (go to a buffet sometime and watch how much food is simply thrown away), then the world has lost its priorities.
When the world is upset by a president who doesn't have a problem with baggy pants, but has no problem with a president who went into an unjust war with a country that has never been proven to be tied to Al-Quada, lied about WMD, has gone from a surplus under Clinton to teetering on Recession, and maybe even a Depression under one of the worst presidents I have ever seen, then yeah, the world has declined.
And when one looks at the 50s, a time when Little Rock Nine - 9 black kids bravely going into a white school and needing to be protected by the National Guard, or the Birmingham protests, peaceful people attacked by guard dogs and powerful fire hoses, or segregated drinking fountains, and even churches, and think the world has declined, then yes, maybe it has, because they long to go back to a world of injustice, segregation, to have an incompetent president lead the country into ruin, continue to kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens for a war that is more about oil and greed than freedom, and ignore a president that has repeatedly been caught in lies.
And for what? Baggy pants.
